If you won the lottery whats the first thing you would do?

1) pay tax
2) give 10% to animal rescue
3) give 10% to the charities of my choice
4) settle the mortgages of my 3 closest friends
5) settle all my own debts
6) finish renovating my house - and buy a large condo in LA as i hop between NY and LA all the time as it is.
7) never travel less than first class on planes ever again (see thread on plane seats)
shop! shoes, clothes, jewelry - but within reason. i''m not after huge stones or designer everything.
9) my husband would retire
10) pump the rest into retirement

This is one of DH''s favorite topics since he''s a dreamer....


1. THANK GOD

2. Set up a trust fund for our son and any future children.

3. Pay off our debt - student loans, car loan and a small amount of cc debt.

4. Help out family members - but as quietly as possible. The freaks do come out when there''s money.

5A. Start house hunting. For me it would have to be somewhere where it does not snow (often) and we''d have to have some wooded property. The location wouldn''t necessarily have to be in the U.S, but English would have to be the primary language.

5B. House would have an attached garage for our "regular" cars and also a detached warehouse for our other cars. The house would be Victorian syle with gables and a veranda. Lots of windows and large rooms. Playroom for the kids and movie theatre for DH. Would also have a game room for Wii, pool table, air hockey and room for a dance studio. I know that we would get dogs so we''d need a special room on the lower level for their crates, food and supplies.

6A. Make sure that DH gets to buy any car(s) that he wants. It would be many.

6B. Buy a 1957 Ford Thunderbird in Dusty Rose. Would add black and white leather seats, wide whitewalls and, of course, the continential kit.

7. Quit my job.

8. Have more babies

9. Start the search for my dream asscher e-ring and wedding band. Would also buy a lot of other jewelry.

10. STOP WORRYING ABOUT MONEY!
