would you pick a D color or a intense fancy yellow stone?,both are GIA cert VVS clarity.

A fancy yellow. I already have a big colorless diamond.

I''d pick the D color. I''m not a fan of yellow diamonds, but I do love orange ones. . .But, since this color isn''t an option, I''d take the D in an asscher cut.

The D. While I do think yellow diamonds are beautiful, they are not for me. I'd get a big white pear. Or asscher. Or radiant. Who am I kidding - in 5 ct I'd take any shape.

D color because I don''t like the colored ones. I don''t know why but I really just do not like the yellows or pinks or blues. I think of diamonds as "clear". If I wanted a color I would buy a topaz or somethin.

D, any time. While yellow diamonds are "funky" and "different" ... they''re just not for me. (I''m of the theory that why get a coloured diamond when you could just get a gemstone - i.e. why a blue diamond when you could get a sapphire? Seems a silly waste of money to me.) I like the classic white ones!

I''d go for a 5ct D asscher, or squarer ratio emerald cut myself!

Is someone getting a free 5ct fancy cut or is this a hypothetical?

Just kidding.

Well, since I have a E color pear already, I''d take a fancy cut yellow for sure. If I were being offered a round, then it would be the D, no question.

I think I''d take the D color fancy cut if it were free. I have no use for a diamond so large so I''d promptly find a way to sell that sucker, and I think the colorless would sell faster. I could probably pay off my mortgage with what it would fetch!

I''d go for the D.

Maybe an asscher I think.

Or Maybe a Cushion, or maybe an Emerald-

Me too, I'd go for the D, because I really am loving asschers these days and would make a beautiful right hand ring!!

I don''t love D stones since I can''t see the color differences and they are friggin expensive!

But if it was FREE...I''d have a hard time choosing between a 5c D Asscher OR a 5c Fancy Yellow Radiant. Both would be absolutely stunning. I''d take either!

This would be my asscher...

Mara and I would have matching rings Cartier Asschers.

Definitely D, yellows are pretty but not my taste.

I have a yellow diamond and I find them to be quite beautiful and unique. Every one seems to have a "white" diamond. I think my yellow sets me apart... To answer the question, I''d take a 5ct yellow diamond anyday!

Tough choice, but I have fallen for the asscher cuts, so I would choose a D color asscher

D colored stone. I''m too boring/traditional to go for those fancy colors. I guess I''m just not bling.

Ooh, def. a D colored emerald cut or a cushion... Yellow diamonds are kinda cool but NMS at all.

D, because I can''t picture myself pulling off such a huge stone to begin with, so a yellow one would just make me self-conscious. I''d probably go with a D emerald cut.

I''m not really into the yellow diamonds, so I''d go with a D princess cut

Definately the yellow ring pictured above. I love color
