A Chaiken diaper bag in plum ($550), a kimono wrap dress from Isabella Oliver ($240), and $200 left over for splurges on other preggo-related things ... if I was being practical, a winter coat, I guess.

why must that be a maternity dress I want that NOW!!

maybe I should get crackin....

31.gif

Isn''t it purty? I drool, I drool! And, just to be an enabler, their stuff seems clingy and expandable ... it would probably fit even a slim figure and just streeeeeeeeeetch later on.

Of course, this is how I''m trying to justify it ....

oooooo don''t tempt me, if I do end up getting it and my SO reads the tag he might get confused.

pregnant ladies alway have the most awesome clothes.

jealoouuuussss

Um, CKrickett? They have a non-maternity line ....

... and it contains the Best Dress

EVAH.

Just going my part for temptation.

Anything that''s $10K or under I''ve already indulged myself in, so $1K won''t make a difference in my life. I guess I''d just convince my parents to fly out for a visit?

I was thinking about this question again while making dinner. I would fly *MYSELF* away for a visit somewhere else. Far, far away! $1K wouldn''t make for much of a trip, though.

Good to know -- I appreciate the expert input (not to mention the inspiration)!

Care to share what those indulgences were?

Put it towards my rings fund..or be thoughtful and give it to husband for the gunshop.
don''t do that, you may regret it later.

I like ZhuZhu''s answer. Since we don''t currently pay for housekeeping, getting it would be a luxury. But I''m not sure how that all works. Do you have the pick up all the stuff off the floor, or do they clean around it?
3.gif

The other thing I''ve been craving is to finally get around to doing the bedroom of our house. Other than a coat of paint and a crappy closet my husband built in 1 day, we have done NOTHING (Oh yeah, we painted the super old linoleum on the floor red). I''m not asking for much, just put in a floor, fix the walls and ceiling, new ceiling fixture, and have a closet with actual shelves and drawers and such. I was browsing the Ikea site and it almost made me feel sick to my stomach about my own bedroom.

But, it''s useable, don''t have the extra cashola, I need to chillax about it.

my twin sister needs a break from work!Id send her a plane ticket to come see me.Id put her up in a nice hotel for a few days so she could do nothing but read, eat room service and sleep or shop when she wanted.

A romantic weekend away

I would give it to Linda W for reaching her 10,000 posts!

Lori
I''d buy Linda a camera!

A new computer, although I guess that''s mostly useful.

I''d probably put it toward the vacation that my husband and I are taking in a few weeks (Vegas!).

If I were to spend it on jewelry, I''d consider upgrading the color and size of my ACA pendant, and I''d try to find a stone with fluor for the upgrade. And if that didn''t pan out, I''d get a scattered diamond band.

The possibilities are endless!

artwork for my house. it's all furnished but the walls are bare!

right now?

possibly cake - i'm reeeeeeeeeally HUNGRY!

(failing that, i'd replace the blinds in my bedroom)

ETA - ooo - no - wait! just read danielle's suggestion of a weekend away. i wanna do THAT!

Invite me over for that $1000 cake, whitby!!!!

I would probably do a spa weekend getaway at The Borgata in Atlantic City. Stay the weekend, do a nice dinner Friday night with spa services Saturday AM, then lunch and a little bit of blackjack. Then to the club for the night, and top it all of with in room breakfast.

hahaha nope, this ensures me the #1 spot on the lists Most Bragged About Wife and Wife Other Husbands Wish They Had. And, when I ask "Do you care if I buy this?" He says "Heck no, I just got a gun, you can buy whatever you want if we have the money to cover it".

I would buy that very sweet pink diamond ring I seen on ebay....

A Samsung LCD TV. Not that it would cover all of it, only a portion of it. Still, that''s what I would choose!

Oh my gosh there are so many things I want right now I don''t know where I''d begin....

My first thought was a beautiful antique OEC in an illusion setting. One of these days I''ll have one....

But upon further pondering I think I''d just buy clothes... lots and lots of them. Having just graduated college, I find myself with about 3 outfits that actually make me look like a young woman and not a college slob... which is currently an issue needing to be fixed but can''t be afforded...

And with a small portion of the money I''d buy kitchen supplies. There are so many silly kitchen utensils that I dont have but really want, like a cheese grater and mixing bowls and a cake pan (the list goes on and on). Thankfully my roommates are currently supplying me with some of these things but thats only temporary.

Another option would be replacing BF''s and my mattress, he bought it before I moved in and I HATE it!!! It gives me such back aches! As soon as I have the funds the mattress is gone.

Ugh I really hope an anonymous check for $1000 arrives at my doorstep....

P.S. Whitby.... that cake comment was hilarious. That sounds like a marvelous weekend. I vote carrot cake with cream cheese filling.... mmmmmm

PC white gold stud earrings.

Either:

1) A Trip to Vegas

2) A handbag

So many things...

--towards a meal a L''Atelier in Vegas for the wedding ($400 per person for just food)

--a new couch (ours is a hand-me-down, albeit a nice one, but dog hair sticks to it like GLUE)

--Platinum wedding bands for FI and I (but WG will just have to do)

--a custom frame for my Anthony Bourdain poster (it''s signed and everything, but it would be pricey because it''s a weird shape. However, I''m thinking there would be leftover $$$ after that.)

--a computer to play the Sims 3. And The Sims 3, seeing as how I don''t have it because I don''t have a computer that will run it.

--Shoes. Because that''s just what I do.
Purple Loubies
Butterfly Casadei (but they no longer have my size)
Teal Bejeweled Casadeis
Coral Casadeis
Bejeweled Zanotti''s
Georgina Goodmans in black and purple or oyster
Ok, I have to stop looking at shoes now. LORELEI, THIS IS YOUR FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

perhaps we could do a tiered cake. you can pop out of the top layer (aforementioned carrot with cream cheese frosting), princessplease can spend the weekend in the vanilla and chocolate checkerboard as a second tier, and i'll just sort of bounce between the two with a fork in hand at all times.

this isn't a weekend; this is a lifestyle - or at least a career, surely??! SOMEbody out there must need three women to live in cakes...
