if you were a diamond (or colored stone)...

This post in the thread about the guy who divorced his wife who got plastic surgery and thus had an "ugly" kid got me thinking...

Well, I'd like to be a diamond jewel, perhaps an F, VVS2, cushion set with claw prongs and perhaps a pink halo in RG, but mounted in platinum. (rarely do you meet D, IF people...and this will give me something to aim for!) Yes, in my next life, I think that sounds desirable! Then I'd never age, go grey, sag or droop! I'd always be perky, sparkly and blinding --- not to mention coveted!! ooooh, "coveted" - ya, I'm likin' that plan!

So if you were a precious stone, what color/clarity/stone would you be? What shape? Setting? Get creative and explain why...and even better, you can compare it to your e-ring or your main squeeze ring or what have you! I am still thinking...curious to see what you all come up with!

Maybe I wouldn't mind being a FI Pink cushion diamond... I'm upgrading from colourless! That's what I would LIKE to be... what I am, is more like a lump of coal (on my bummer down days) and I'm a "sunny lemon yellow" fat pear on my better days!!! I have more yellow days than coal days, FYI

I can say I'm diamond, cus I'm tough and hard, MOHS 10, but still brittle and can break if something hits me at the right spot, at the right time. I'd have inclusions because I'm definitely not near perfect. And let's just say I'm still rough. I haven't found my potential to be an ideal, yet.

I would be a transitional cut diamond like the one in my engagement ring. I have an old soul and definitely come from another era. I also have some imperfections, but they just add to my charm (or so I tell myself ).

ooooh Sarahbear I love paraiba tourmalines!! I have only recently discovered them somehow, and I loooove that pretty windex blue color that matches the ocean

ihy love it!! If more people responded I feel like that is what most people on here would say hehe.

I'd like to think I am also a diamond...start out kinda dark and rough, but become more brilliant with pressure! I think I'd have to be a FLY colored one
