I don''t know what I''d do if I were you, but if it was for me in this situation, I''d get a Daussi cushion halo ring. Partly because I''m mildly obsessed with them at the moment, so any "what would you get" type question makes me think about them lol, but also because I could get a reasonable size with a lovely warm colour diamond. Then, when I could wear the 2+ct cushion again, I''d have the shank taken off the Daussi and have it turned into a pendant. Or keep it as it was and pass it on to my daughter, I suppose.
I just looked again at my favourite Daussi ring and it''s SOLD.
This was The One http://rockdiamond.com/index.php/jewelry/halo-diamond-ring-133ct-cushion-in-platinum-split-shank?PHPSESSID=bcabaea68f572a3857d48e9af9cedb53 Although there are several more I also love.
Um, did I mention that I''m mildly obsessed?! They do a three-stone halo which is very blingy but very beautiful too and I think it would make an absolutely stunning necklace when you were reunited with your e-ring.
Oh, and if you don''t happen to share my obsession and I haven''t convinced you, I''d vote for a wide pave band.
