If money were no object

the recent case here in the UK of a retired couple winning over £24 million pounds on the lottery got me thinking about what jewellry I would buy if I had that sort of money. I guess you could quite justifiably drop a couple of hundred thousand on a nice ring? The thing is I would still want to get really great value for money.

My question is this, if you were spending that amout of money, say a few hundred thousand who would you go to for the perfect ring?

I''d never ever spend that much money on a ring! Never in a million years because I would because I do not wear diamonds that big. . .

The only stone over 200K that caught my eye was a red diamond. I believe it went for $500K at an auction.

I couldn''t go over 3cts and I''m a size 7 finger. I would buy a bunch of understated but high quality pieces instead. Things I could wear everyday though. I have no occasions in my life where I ever have to dress up for *anything*. I''d put the most money into purchasing the perfect home.

Not to be biased, but I would get strm to design a kickin asscher and then get one of the vendors here on PS to cut and set it :}

hmm, I''d want a few rings to change out, but nothing over 2 ct. so I''d get a 2 ct asscher color D oh yeah, then I''d want a square H&A from GOG, then I want a fancy Intense Yellow Radiant, and I definitely want a Pink Diamond as well. I also would get a three stone semi bezel RB from Brian Gavin. I can''t commit to just one.

I have been entertaining myself for WEEKS with this very question as the lotto jackpot got up to $36mill before it was won this wendsay.

I just dont think it''s practical for a student in her very early 20''s to walks round with a 5ct daimond on her paw. I''d just go nuts with the best quality I could get and just get somthing for every occasion........
Wouldn''t it be nice to shop in a high end jewlery store the way you would in a supermarket?

I could go for a crazy big diamond for sure. I currently have a 1.5 carat radiant in a halo, so the way I see it, I could just get a diamond that has the same measurements as my halo and it wouldn''t look insane! I wouldn''t want anything too insane, though, because then I would feel like it looked fake!
