Dude, ME TOO!

I don''t think there''s any place around here to take lessons, and I''m not aware of any dvd''s..I''d have a hard time, dancin by muhself tho b/c JD absolutely refuses. My brother wants to learn tho, so I guess I could ask his girlfriend if I could borrow him.

Do you have a community education program through the city? I took lessons that was taught at a High School (this was adult classes) it was fun... Hope you get a chance to do it.

swing dance! It really depends on what you want to learn. East coast, western, lindy hop? East coast and western you could learn from a video, but lindy hop really needs to be taught in person. One of the best tips I was ever given is to think barbie arms. It makes it much easier for your lead if you hold your frame and much easier for you as you know where he is leading you. Just remember, in dance, it's always the guys fault

Sound advice

I'll keep the types in mind.

Packrat - my FI doesn't like it either

. I make him salsa with me, and in return I watch football without complaining... it's turned into something like a night of dancing for three weekends of football though! He really likes all sports, and he's just very athletic in general so it's a shock to the system that moving your feet and arms and body to music doesn't come as easily as throwing a ball

D&T - I need to check out more options. So far everything seems to require a montly subscription for a certain number of lessons or hours, and I just don't think we'd be able to make those timelines - he works bizarre hours, and I'm working overtime for the next couple of months. We'll see what turns up

Any other ideas, anyone?
