I think this is genetically triggered in our brains at fall and winter

I think we women must just be genetically obligated to shop in fall and winter.

In the past few days I''ve gotten a new cardigan, new flats, a new shirt, a new skirt, and I Just now ordered 3 scarves from Old Navy

You know, you might be on to something. Generally, I hate shopping for clothes. I like shopping for shoes, handbags and jewelry, but not clothes. Last week however, I spent almost two hours at some boutique and ended up buying a coat, two pairs of trousers, a dress, a shirt, this cute silken bodice and a jacket. So yeah, it has to be something genetic, triggered by the season!

LOL It''s the opposite for me. The stores are flooded with fall/winter clothing but not appropriate for this heat that we have so I barely buy new clothes during this season (although I score a bunch of summer stuff that is still appropriate on clearance

I''m not a big shopper (and can''t do much right now because I''m unemployed!), but I LOVE Fall clothing! Cute sweaters and boots and scarves yum yum!! I do love a good sundress and summer in general, but think Fall clothing styles probably suit my figure better.

I must have gotten some faulty genes then...

During the fall all I want is a nice tailored coat and perhaps a new scarf or two. I wear the same jeans/khakis/slacks and light cardigans/tailored shits/etc that I wear the rest of the year just under the coat. The only time I dress differently is during the heat of them summer when I break out the sun dresses.

I agree! I''m far more drawn to fall/winter clothes and I love shopping during this time. Though in a way it''s less fun than warm weather shopping, because none of the arms on long sleeved shirts/sweaters are ever long enough

I always have to order online instead of shopping in stores. At least during warm weather I can just walk into stores and try anything short sleeved on and it''ll fit.

Since I live in such a small house and my husband has more clothes than me I have to store the other seasons clothes away. Around this time I get excited to get my fall/winter clothes out. Since I have not seen them in so long I usually forget what I have and it is like a whole new wardrobe. However this year when I unpacked my winter stuff I was disappointed. I didn''t like most of the stuff I have so I was forced to go out and get new. I know you ladies can imagine how sad I was to have to go buy new pants, jeans, sweaters, cardigans, etc. haha. It was great!
