Hi guys,
I think I''ve found my dream wedding venue. It''s a newly refurbished resort at Mission Beach on the North Queensland coast of Australia. It''s a beautiful place and both my fiance and I have been there....however this is a brand new boutique resort right on the beach. The formal function area opens straight onto a terrace overlooking the ocean!!
I called and organised a viewing for July 11th where I''m sure we will simply fall in love with it and select a date. We have put a hold on May 23rd 2009.
It looks perfection on their website.
I''ve also attached a few pics for you to have a quick look at. I am SOOO excited! This place suits us perfectly. Even the decor of the rooms and EVERYTHING seems like a reflection of our style and taste.
There are a few options for the reception:
a) There is the formal function room that opens out onto a terrace.... seats 70 people banquet style
b) There is the outside pool area (timber decking by the pool) seats 150 banquet style but is more informal - open air/outside
c) There is the possibility of booking the entire resort (for quite a large fee) so you can have exclusive access of all areas... how heavenly would that be!!
Our guest list looks to be around 90 people - so it looks like it could be a wedding by the pool! How beautiful! Will just have to hope and pray for perfect weather!
