Oh dear.
Brace yourself….
142 items.
Yep, I actually went through and counted up the jewellery items I no longer wear and need to move on.
39 pieces of Sterling Silver rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces.
17 pairs of gold earrings
23 bracelets and watches
18 necklaces
5 brooches
20 rings
and another 20 odd items that should also go.
Dare I “add up” the number of pieces I’m keeping….
ok, deep breath
Brooches - 5
Rings- 54
Earrings- 38
Necklaces- 42
Bangles- 32
Bracelets- 26
Watches- 37.
AND I’m still browsing Loupe Troop and eBay daily.

Wow that is quite an impressive collection! So I have counted you are keeping 234 items hahaha!

Timely post! I just itemized 90 percent of my collection and I really don’t know how to digest my findings yet.

If you stole it or bought it with ill-gotten money, then you should be ashamed.

Otherwise no, so just enjoy it.

Are you taking requests?
There is no shame or harm in it; but if you feel really terrible, I'll humbly accept a gift of a handful of those sapphires/rubies in your jewel tank to ease your conscience.:lickout:
I'm here to help.

not the brooches !
5 won't take up much room
brooches are making a come back

These I can share a photo of……
I have never worn any of them.
The Horse head stick pin is Russian, Petersburg, can’t read the goldsmith stamp though. Had this 25 years.
The yellow sapphire tie pin, 9ct. Had this 40 years.
The Art Deco Amethyst brooch, 18ct. Had this 30 years.
The Black and white Cameo, rose gold, tests as 9ct. Had this 35 years.
And the 18ct Horse pin with wee diamonds. Had this 20 years.D5CAE7A5-BE25-4E2C-B58C-C5C06124A16A.jpeg

Love, love, love the horses!!

Would love pictures too…

Sounds like a wonderful jewelry wardrobe you’ve curated over time.

Don’t add up their value !
I have always prioritized buying jewellery over everything else. It’s been a passion and a hobby all my life.
My sister on the other hand has been more inclined to spend on experiences and spa days and latest fashion and fancy nights out, weekends away and travel.
While I’ve done those things as well it wasn’t a priority for me and I’ve only ever spent very modestly on “other things”.
Considering we’ve earnt similar salaries over the decades while I’m shocked to realise I’ve spent a few hundred **** on jewellery, she has spent similar and has nothing of substance to show for it.
The big benefit with my passion and hobby is that has given me and continues to gives me “the feel goods” “the happys” yet I can “cash it all in” and still have my money!
So jewellery collectors unite, we’ve had our fun and STILL have most our money !

Let the unloading begin!

I would go nuts with that many pieces...my brain gets clogged up when I have too much of anything! I'm weird that way!:loopy:

Jewelry sale at Bron's house! :)

For those of you who were kids in the 1980's, did you have sticker trading sleep over parties? I did!

Now imagine the grown up version with a bunch of PSers at a jewelry trading party. Would be so much fun! Bring the stuff you don't wear and trade it for something new.

I’m just camping here for the hoard…

Still no pics??

I think there are many members of that club on this forum!

So I’m either in very good or bad company depending on your perspective…

I opened my drawers and realized that I have never even counted/considered my Lalique/Baccarat and other silver pieces as erm jewelry (no offense to anyone meant! Always thought of jewelry more in the context of gold/pt items), they are kept out of the safe so I’ve never counted them. Omg. I need to figure out if I should cull and how to.
