Wedding I said "Yes" to the dress!

I can''t believe it, but today I went to Kleinfeld''s and bought the Melissa Sweet Mila! I''ve been eyeing this dress for a while on the PoB website, and today I tried it on and fell in love

. I also lucked out majorly because the designer was having a trunk show at the store today, so I got 12.5% off the price of the dress, plus the designer is modifying the skirt free of charge (this would usually cost $600

). They did charge me $200 extra for modifying the top to sit a bit higher. Since I''ll be shipping it out of state, I don''t pay any sales tax. With the discounts it fit nicely into our modified budget

FI is thrilled with my purchase, and even said the the price i paid was reasonable

(who are you and what have you done with my FI?!).

I''m so over the moon, and I LURVE this dress, and so glad I have place to share my excitement.

karasue91 - Thank you! Yes I have seen the thread, and I think Haven''s bustle is so unique and beautiful! Wow, I haven''t even thought of how I want the bustle, but I''m so excited about this dress!

I suppose I have until November think about it and perform a thorough PS search on bustles

Ohh! So beautiful! You should be thrilled....

Hmm, my comment on bustles is to make the seamstress sew in two ties/hooks where she would normally put one. ie. a double-strength bustle. Bustles are the biggest pain ever, it totally made me wish I had just cut off the train. Dragging around a half done bustle all night was a pain and not so attractive... And I spent some time under my friend''s dress recently trying to fix her bustle (with only partial success) to remind me how annoying they are...

cara - Thanks! I'll keep that in mind about the bustle. Definitely don't want to have the bustle falling all over the place

October2008bride - I had them move the flare up, so that it starts just under my hip (on the flower side). I'm wearing flats, so having it lower would make me look pretty short. Unfortunately, in all the excitement, I forgot to take pictures of myself

I love that dress!

I think I gushed plenty of times on here how much I love that dress. I love the bustle on Haven''s dress too, its fabulous. This is the one dress that gave me SERIOUS almost buyers remorse about the dress I got. I slowly made myself get over it though. (Deep breaths!).

Great choice.

We''re dress triplets with Sunnygirl! Does anyone else have the Mila on PS? I feel like the Mila is this year''s Dora on PS--there was a Dora rush last year, which is why I sought out MS in the first place. Too funny!

Amazing dress!! You will look stunning. Great discounts too!! This is close to the first dress we ordered when my daughter was going with a destinatin wedding, but we reverted to her initial dream dress with a local wedding.
