for the ceremony i am wearing the pearl set that FI got me for our first christmas together, but for the reception i am going to change my jewelry to add some color to the ensemble. my mom bought me these fabulous earrings, and now i just need a necklace to match! i've been searching for the past four or five months, but i haven't found anything that i think would match well. so, i need your help, all you fabulous PS shopping mavens! i don't think i am partial to any particular style, although most of my necklaces tend to be more pendant like than not. and i'd like to keep it around $30 or under (way under? can you get way under $30?).it doesn't haven't to be super fancy or anything, just something that looks halfway decent.i guess if it was a FABULOUS necklace i could always ask for it as a shower gift from my mom or something!

.

anyways, here's a picture of my dress (will be in light ivory as shown) and the pair of earrings that i got (which are swarovski crystal)

ETA: do you think that this would even look good?

The stones are kind of a peridot green and a topaz tan?

Hmm... I''d bet that a mid-range department store has a a few items that would fit the bill (like Macy''s); unfortunately, even Macy''s tends to reserve it''s online bandwidth for pricier jewelr.

Just to get you started, though, this pendant is a bit over-budget, but the stones are real:
Macy''s Peridot Pendant . I''ll keep looking though-- how fun!

In the "Shower gift" range, here's a peridot and diamond pendant from Blue Nile. (Isn't there a PS discount with them?):
Blue Nile Peridot Diamond Pendant

An even less expensive peridot, in a bezel set, from BlueNile: BlueNile Bezel Peridot

A surprisingly priced entry with small diamonds for just over $50 from ShopNBC: Pear Peridot multistone pendant

Are these the colors: citrine, peridot, and diamond?:Real Citrine Peridot Diamond

A non-pendant option from Overstock.com; the pearl may appeal to the "Bridal" element: Peridot and pearl cluster necklace

fleur, you''re amazing! thank you so much

. what a great idea to look at the 1928 line - i used to always admire the necklaces and earrings when i lived near a kohls and i''m pretty sure i even thought about it when i bought the earrings i did, but i had totally forgotten until you posted those links! between the ones you posted and the others on the site i KNOW i''ll find something that i love by them, AND it will match the brushed brass/nickel look of the back of the earrings perfectly. i had been so worried that if i got something to shiny it would clash.

yes! thank you so much fleur!

. i just hope that FI think so too!

Wowza! Great dress, just stunning on you!

I think if you hair is up, and you have those great earrings on, you don''t need a necklace. You have lovely detail on your dress, cute earrings, a fabulous new husband - who needs a necklace?? Plus, if you get something that doesn''t exactly match the earrings they might fight with each other, you know?

I don''t have any links, but I think a short necklace or choker would be best. Your dress comes fairly high and you have a long slender neck, so that would keep it from clashing with your dress, prevent your upper body from look shortened and draw attention to your neck.

There are some lovely ones on ebay you might look at
