So, I was giving my 18 month old a bath today. His favorite part is stomping around the tub and splashing in the water while it drains. I noticed he was waving bye-bye at the drain. I looked and his wash cloth got sucked in! Crap! I look and the thing was out of sight. I put a snake in and wasn't able to reach it. I start seeing dollar signs. So, 10 years ago, I would've paid a plumber a mint to come fix it. I googled "wash cloth stuck in bath tub drain" and one of the suggestions on some message board was to suck it out with a wet-dry vac. Me thinks I have one of those! So, I drag it upstairs and give it a whirl. Put the hose to the drain and turn on the vac. Voila! Out comes the wash cloth! :appl: :appl: :appl:

I  the internet! ...and google has a really special place in my heart!

 How cute your 18 m. o. was waving good bye, otherwise you might have wondered and spent that plumbing money - only to be embarassed later! Yup, the internet is pretty cool. There is nothing you can't find out... and sometimes, it's just full of TMI! ;))

Me too! You can find anything you need to know. How did we survive without the internet?

When I saw the wash cloth getting sucked in I had one of those slow motion "Nnnnnoooooo!" moments in my head. DH and I are NOT handy people so I was pretty proud that I was even able to get the thing out!
