I know some people prefer a higher set diamond....

Talk about an accident waiting to happen. (Actually, it looks like the accident allready DID happen.)

Yikes!

That just looks silly. I mean I like a high setting but that looks like a fail in the design department.

That would be the tiered wedding cake design...

and I suspect the design will get stale about as quickly as a wedding cake. :wink2:

Eh, some people would love that look. I can't stand low settings, so if forced to choose I would probably take that one over a super low one.

:knockout:

ugh. Not a fan of the tiered wedding cake look. Kenny has it right --- people vary!

 wow.....just.....wow.

Too high, on the other hand, I can't afford super low settings, my fingers look shorter and wider.

My goodness.

FORE!!! It's just waiting to be knocked off...

That just looks ridiculous!

That could be used as a weapon!

WRONG... In so many ways! :errrr:

That is what my SO refers to as skull-crushers  . He says the should count as a weapon.

I know someone who has this ring. Definitely not my taste at all but believe or not it isn't THAT obvious how high its set IRL.

Seriously! Hopefully it comes with a tiny golf club!

Now that's what I call a knuckle duster.

Not to my taste, but different strokes for different folks.

I just have an urge to try to screw that diamond down into the setting.

::snort!::

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

At least they're humourists. The pop out says "click your shape" as opposed to "click your height".

 wow....

It looks ok from the top with the default princess, but clicking on the other shapes doesn't help it much....
With my clutziness, that centre diamond won't be standing straight (or hanging on) for long

Maybe it helps people who are indecisive get all the elements in - scroll detail, halo, cathedral, and solitaire in one?

Breaking off that diamond in 3.......2......1......

And probably doing the ring a favor!

I have a much funnier picture of an offensively high set diamond to show you and share with you guys!!! It is MY ring as it came back from the jeweler initially :o :o :o Look how ridiculous it looks  Needless to say that i sent it back and had it set waaaaaaaay lower than that!!!

It looks like a Brag Ring. "See what a BIG DIAMOND I have?" Knuckle duster, definitely, could be dangerous in arguments with the lucky DH. (Not yours, Naty, but I'm sure it looks better lowered -- how about a pic of it now?)

This is the Business Assurance Setting. With purchase, they try to convince you *not* to buy their warranty.... so that when you knock the diamond out five days after getting it, you come back to spend more money on another diamond!!!

I think I'm blind

Hey Laurie :wavey: So i don't have a very good pic of the ER from the profile. I am attaching here a photo of it with my blue sapphire ring (as you can see they are almost twin setting rings!), in which it looks terribly dirty and crooked, even though it's perfectly straight IRL :? !!! At least, you can see how much lower the diamond is set now...(a littlebit lower would have been perfect...!

Wow. It looks nice from the top, but from the side it looks dangerous! :errrr:
