thanks everyone! i''m still pretty excited about it.

after thoroughly reading the e-mail from them, they chose a photo from when i did a rainbow jell-o mold. apparently, they''re doing an article called, "Most Interesting Jell-O".

i''m actually a little embarrassed about the photo they chose since: 1) it was a test run and it didn''t come out as perfectly as i had hoped for. the first couple of layers have a bunch of air bubbles, and the colors also got blended together. 2) the photo isn''t one of my "better" ones. i mean Food and Wine obviously has such professional and gorgeous food photos, and i''m such a newbie at this stuff. don''t get me wrong though, i''m so flattered that they chose it, but if i had known beforehand that it would be on foodandwine.com, i would''ve tried to do a better job...and made another jell-o mold!

I think only you would notice that stuff Jas - it looks incredible to me!!

Makes me want to slide a spoon down the side and get a whole mouthful of rainbow. Yum!

i haven''t done any food photos for a while, but after this, i feel totally inspired to get into it again.

BF is pouting at this statement, but it''s only because i obviously won''t let him eat the food until after i''m done shooting. usually by then, the food get a little cold and he says it''s torture.

btw, did you photograph anything over Thanksgiving?

vip, this made me giggle...my SO is totally the same way! But I have to agree with everyone else...your shots are LOVELY and that jello looks just delish...and I''m not even a huge jello person!!!
