The strange thing is, even though I love my dress and am really happy to have bought it, I''ve had this urge to visit more stores and try on more dresses. Is that weird? Even though I tried on plenty of dresses before finding this one (again), I keep feeling like maybe I should try a few more just to be extra sure! Then again, I''d be afraid of finding another dress (or two) that I''d love and want!

Yeah, I think that''s where drama and confusion and potential trouble lies--seriously this dress is MAGNIFICENT. You look so regal! It is amazing, like no other dress, and it doesn''t just highlight you, but goes with your venue?! It sounds like it was meant to be your dress.

Thanks for the compliment I really can''t wait to see the dress once it''s actually properly fitted and altered. Our wedding isn''t until next April, so I still have a long time to wait (too long)! I think I''m probably going to ask for a French bustle, but not sure yet if it will be single, double or what not :) I was going to defer to the seamstress and see what she recommends. One thing the salon owner suggested when I was trying on the dress was to have the lining taken in a bit in the train so you can see the sheer lace sticking out slightly beyond the fabric, and I think I might take her advice on that.

The sample I bought was in ivory. I don''t think I''ve ever even seen the dress in white, actually. Although I remember you saying that the white seemed pretty stark, so that made me feel better about going with the ivory.

As far as the veil, I haven''t decided yet if I''m just going to buy one from veilshop.com or have my grandma make it. I got a swatch from veilshop and I think the "champagne" color complements the dress color the best (in case you''re still looking :). I also haven''t decided on the style yet, but I know I want one that''s cathedral length and plain edge.

What about you? Oh, and did you ever find matching shoes? That''s still on my list!

Yeah, I totally think it would have been hard for me to pull off a bright white color....it looks so great on some people, but I am way too fair skinned for it!
My wedding is actually May 2009, so I have even longer to go than you! lol.....but I am so in love with this dress that I am getting impatient. I regularly browse the Lazaro Bridal website & look at their dresses....I just love the detail and antique-y look & feel to our dress.
Thanks for the bustle & veil tips...still undecided thus far. Like you said, I will get a better idea once the dress comes in.
I found my shoes! I was really into the idea of the baby blue (something blue) soles of the shoes rather than going all out & wearing blue shoes (which would have taken away from the dress, imho). They were true to size & the ivory color is perfect. I like that they are simple & dont compete with the dress & they are also dyeable in case I want to dye them black after the wedding. I might add little swarovski crystals near the toe....

I totally forgot to add something to my last post. Did you see the new episode of Say Yes to the Dress on Tuesday night? Well the first person they showed that bought a dress got a Lazaro very similar to ours, but the embroidery was different & the neckline was straight across instead of sweetheart. They showed the price as $5900....just proves what a great deal you got!

I thought the bride made the right decision and am glad she stuck w/ her first choice instead of giving in to that last dress. And yeah, I couldn''t believe the final price. Made me giddy all over again for the bargain we got
