Wedding I got hitched in Jamaica!

I can''t believe I forgot to mention this.
On our wedding day, I got ready in my Cousin''s room with my family while DH and his family got ready in our room.
After the party was over his mother approached me and said she really had to talk to me in private.
My heart was racing...I thought she was going to give me some weird talk or something.
In reality, she wanted to let me know that she forgot her underwear at her resort, and so she went in my suitcase....and at that very moment....she was wearing MINE!
Can you saw awkwardly disturbing? lol

Not to mention that there is no guarantee those were clean undies! I guess she must have worn her bathing suit to our resort, since they arrived early in the morning and our wedding was at 4pm.

Duuuude. Lack of boundaries much?

Btw - you said your cousin was married the day before you....was she married at the same place? that was really nice for her to be standing for you when she was on her honeymoon!

Selkie, TELL ME ABOUT IT! I told my mom right after DH''s mom told me, and she just about died laughing. I had to calm her down before she figured out we were talking about her! I told DH, and later in the night when everyone was saying goodbye, he whispered in his mom''s ear "enjoy those undies" and gave her a wink. lol.

Wifey, this is how it worked out: We were planning on getting married in Virginia, and my cousin planned on eloping at sandals. When we decided VA wasn''t for us, we began looking for a destination wedding location. Then it was my idea to get married at another Sandals in Jamaica so that my cousin and I could go to eachother''s weddings. Later, she gave us her blessing to get married at the same resort as her since it looked like no other sandals was going to work. There was some drama later on when a few people from DH''s side all said they were going to come to the wedding and they all announced to us that they were going to stay at our resort. These are all people that I never met. My cousin got pretty angry and made it clear that if we were going to have a "big" wedding that one of us should find another resort. To be fair, she DID plan on eloping and had planned her trip almost a year before us. It didn''t help that my mother kept inviting people on our side of the family when my cousin''s own MOTHER wasn''t even going to go. Anyway....lots of drama. DH told his family to stay at different resorts....I felt like I was ruining her wedding, she felt like she was ruining my wedding....we made a pact to stay out of eachother''s way while we were there, but at the same time we were talking every day about our trip (we are more like sisters than cousins, if that says anything).
Anyway, she arrived two days before me, and once we finally got there all four of us were completely inseperable the whole trip! We did EVERYTHING together, and rarely had anytime alone as couples. They left two days before us and we were SO bummed. We kept saying how BORED we were going to be (but we weren''t because at that point we had met other couples to be friends with), and she said that when they got there they kept hoping Monday would come so we would get there! If anything, the experience has brought us closer. They are even talking about coming down here to visit us in TX soon. The thing about the weddings is that although they were at the same resort and we both chose the same gazebo, they were both totally different and special in their own right. Both were beautiful and intimate, and both were a blast! So I think her and I are in agreement that it was a GREAT vacation, and having eachother there made it all the more better!

Hi Lucky! I am so happy for you! Your pictures are just glowing, and you can tell you totally had a blast!

I absolutely LOVE the undie story...neither my mother nor my FMIL could even get one leg in my undies, but I''d sure pay money to see them try! (And this is yet another good reason to get ready in my OWN room and send everyone else somewhere!)

Thanks, Sophie. The earrings are actually what we PS''ers dubbed the "Jcrow" earrings because she was the first to originally wear them and has since inspired so many others like myself and sweetpea. I believe she got them at banana republic, but I don''t think they sell them anymore. They pop up on ebay often, which is where I got mine. I don''t see any right now though. I''ll keep an eye out!
