Miracles- I was SO nervous. Luckily my mom gave me a xanax before the ceremony so I calmed down a bit. But I think it messes with my memory because there is some stuff that I forgot until I watched the dvd. OMG the DVD is SO funny. We forgot we had mics on, and while the minister is talking we just keep telling eachother how sweaty we look. It was SO HOT.

And now for the review.............
We loved Sandals. It was breathtaking, everyone was SO friendly, there was SO much to do, and we met so many new friends. Just in case some of you didn''t know, my cousin and her boyfriend got married the day before us. We spent pretty much all week together and we had SUCH a great time. Her wedding was beautiful too, I''ll have to ask if I can post some of her pics.
We would definitely go back, in a heartbeat.

Cons:
It was HOT and it SHOWS big time. I''m sure you can tell that we were sweaty in all of our pics. They wiped off DH (tee-hee!) but not me, so a lot of the 8x10s I ordered look awful. I''m hoping I can fix them somehow. I wish someone would have followed me around with a powder poof to dab my face. I think they didn''t wipe me down because they were afraid of ruining my make-up.

My one complaint about the resort, which I shouldn''t have been complaining about because I never spoke up.....
Our room was in an awful location, overlooking construction...no balcony...nothing.
My cousin, on the other hand, spent way less money than we did on her vacation and got upgraded (not sure how Sandals worked that out). The night of their wedding they went to the room and had petals all over the floor, and a towel shaped like an animal. Another night they had a bottle of champagne, the night before they left they had a plate of chocolate covered strawberries. They had a balcony overlooking the garden and even an umbrella in the room for when it rained.

We had NONE of that...no special treatment at all. DH and I could care less about where our room was located or what the view was (we were literally never in there except to sleep or get ready for dinner), but it would have been nice to have had something small as a congrats from Sandals. When all is said and done we spent thousands more than my cousin (who TOTALLY DESERVED THE UPGRADE BY THE WAY...not trying to say she didn''t, but since she is my cousin that''s how we know about the differences) but we got squat.

Again, we never said anything to any of the staff, and I''m POSITIVE they would have moved us if we asked. We just didn''t care about that. We just wanted some chocolate covered strawberries.

Besides all of that, we had a blast tanning, snorkeling, watching the entertainment, drinking cocktails, relaxing, meeting new friends, joking with the staff...etc. I wouldn''t change it for the WORLD and I''ll definitely go back.
I think our wedding was perfect, beautiful, and intimate. I''m so glad we did it that way! It took the stress right out of me.
