Thanks B.E.G.! I didn''t recognize you at first without your kitty avatar!

Lol, actually, I don''t recognize my own avatar half the time! I think I need to change it up again!

And you will rock the interview out of the park (excuse my mixed metaphors!). Let us know how it goes!

Haven, mega dust coming your way.

Thread jack - mega dust coming your way too Tacori.

Sending tons of interview dust to you Haven!!

And to you Tacori!!

Good luck to both of you!!

Thanks everyone. Haven, I found this link. You probably have already read it but just in case! Good luck!

Oh, the power of PS dust!

I was just called in for a finalist interview at the college I met with yesterday! (They rescheduled at the last minute, it was supposed to be today.)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The interview went really well, and I really liked everyone on the committee. I was the last of ELEVEN candidates they interviewed, so I left without high hopes after hearing that from the head of HR.

I am so excited. This would be a really good fit, and the college is a wonderful place.

Thanks so much for all of your dust and advice, everyone. Here''s hoping it carries me through one more interview! I am literally giddy with anticipation right now.

Hooray and congrats!

Is there anything different about the next interview? Or is it more of the same? I am sure it will go fabulously!

Thank you for sharing the excitement, ladies! I'm really excited about this potential opportunity. I felt extremely comfortable with the interview team, and the college seems like a fabulous place to teach.

kata--The finalist interview is actually two separate interviews. The first is 90 minutes with the Dean of the Division of Languages, Humanities, and the Arts. The second is 60 minutes with the Vice President for Academic Affairs. I must say, I'm a bit nervous about these interviews and I'm feeling a bit out of my league. I have no clue what types of questions they will ask, so I'm going to spend some time searching for more information before the interview.

I guess I can only be myself, though, right? If it's the right fit, I'm hoping that will show.

I *think* they only called two candidates back for the finalist interview. The woman who called me today said they have two slots set aside for the interviews, each on a separate day, and she let me pick which one worked best for me. Regardless, I'm really excited!

::DUSTING:: you Haven!!

You made it this far, it''s definitely not out of your league

Oh Haven, they would be so lucky to have you!!

They are probably excited to have someone of your caliber as one of their candidates. Only in Academia could you have 11 candidates for second interviews. I would go psycho if I had to perform in-person interviews on that many candidates.

You just need to be you. You''re like Mary Poppins. You''re practically perfect in every way.

Yay Haven!!! Almost there!!! I am so glad it went well and thanks for sharing your dust with me.
