i needed really tall shoes because my dress has lace at the bottom that i didn''t want ruined, and i''m really short. are these wildly inappropriate or are they okay for a wedding? thanks for the input!
hahaha, i just saw mia''s thread about her shoes right after posting this, so it''s kind of funny! anyway, yes in the blue--it matches the wedding colors really well, so that contributed to me liking them so much!
from the reviews on zappo''s, they''re supposed to be pretty comfy, but if not, i''ll just kick them off and go foot-naked.
But only get them if you can wear them for hours! Wear them around your house while doing cleaning, vaccuming and see how they feel. Last thing you want to worry about is aching feet
I am so confused....Isn't there another PS'er that got the exact same shoes but in pink? Or was that you. I think she said they were super-comfortable. In any case, I love the blue.
I can''t wait to see if you like them! They just didn''t match the style of my dress but I thought they were really comfy. But I am pretty used to wearing heels. FI is the type of guy who thinks all womens'' shoes look alike. So whenever I ask him if he likes a pair of shoes, he usually just comments on the color. Anyway, he loved these shoes and thought they were soo hot! It was nice to actually get a reaction out of him when it comes to shoes!
So anyway, I''m keeping mine but probably just for the boudior shoot. I''m not sure I''ll get much more use out of them, since I don''t usually attend formal events often.
yeah, i saw mia''s thread AFTER i posted, which is really weird! my dress is borderline ball gown, so i think i can get away with the shoes--plus, i''m kind of a nut. i told everyone i was going to wear lucite stripper platforms with a goldfish in the heel, so at this point, these are most likely to elicit sighs of relief! i''m not worried about comfort so much--i hear these are decent, and as flat-footed as i am, heels feel better to me than flats!
mia, my fi loved them, too--maybe that''s part of the appeal!
I really like them, especially the color. However, if you want to save the bottom of your dress, I would suggest getting a comfy pair of something tall as a backup, such as platform flip flops, so that your dress doesn''t drag once you kick them off. I had 4 inch heels for the ceremony, and then I wore a pair of comfy wedges at the reception, and I was really glad. When I took the wedges off at the end of the night, I immediately tripped!
As I told the other poster with these shoes, they are fabulous. I am very short as well, and I love this alternative to the Lucite stripper platforms I was thinking I would have to get . The color is great--I think a peek of something bright and vibrant under the dress is great. (In case anyone interprets that wrong--a good peek of bright and vibrant is limited to shoes and not applicable to neon undergarments or something of that caliber.)
THEY''RE A KEEPER. i''m so beyond in love with these shoes! they''re a darker blue in person, which actually matches our colors better, and mia was right--they''re reeeeeeeeally comfortable!!! just thought i''d rave for a moment...i may have to buy these in a few more colors!
i love them. that''s what i was looking for when i was shoe shopping. high heels without a full back in a nice fabric are VERY difficult to find. here''s hopin'' they are comfy!
jcrow, they''re BEYOND comfy (and i usually don''t wear heels at all, but i marched around the house and was dancing in these for over an hour earlier, and they were great the whole time), but what i''m most excited about--with these shoes, my dress is the PERFECT length!!!! i was really worried about dress alterations because it was so long, so these shoes saved me a fortune in having lace retatted!!!
I love the idea of really fun shoes with your wedding dress!
Not on the same page, but I wore this really sweet eyelet lace dress for my college graduation and hot pink strappy heels. Everyone else had on suits mid-heeled black pumps...so boring....under their gown. My hot pink looked so cute with that ugly black gown and then I actually had on a cute outfit to go out in that night! NO stuffy suit!
Congrats on finding a chic and comfy pair of heels!
