Wedding I bought my dress!

Unfortunately, the shop didn''t let me take photos, but I''m going again on Saturday so I can show it to my mom, and hopefully now that I''ve purchased it they''ll let me snap a pic or two. It''s the Maggie Sottero Jorie and I''m

over it. I just felt like I glowed in it -- it''s just the right balance between being decorative and sparkly (which I really wanted), but still classic and not over-the-top. I think I''m going to have the seamstress dip the neckline slightly, to make it a semi-sweetheart (the seamstress was actually there when I was trying on dresses and said it''s a really easy adjustment).

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice when I posted photos few weeks ago -- it was really helpful to have objective opinions as I narrowed down what I did and didn''t like.

My dress was a Maggie Sottero, too, (the Amelia), and I fell in love with it the moment I tried it on. I felt beautiful in my dress, and my husband loved it. It didn''t hit me that I was getting married until my bridesmaids started to lace up the back of my dress!

Thanks, dragonfly411, DearBuddha, kittybean, JerseyGrl81, sparkalicious, and ImpatientOne! It''s really killing me that I don''t have pics in it, and the website just doesn''t do it justice. It''s sooo much prettier in person.

Kittybean, I ordered the diamond white, which looks more like ivory than other diamond whites I''ve seen (it was the color they had as a sample, so I''m glad to have seen it in person). Stark white washes me out and makes me look like I''m suffering from some nasty illness

I''m excited about the corset back, too, both because I like the look of them and because the shop owner said I probably won''t need any alterations other than the bustle, a teeny hem adjustment in the front, and perhaps cups sewn in. Since I''m more "straight up and down" than "hourglass," my waist measurement was throwing everything off in zippered gowns and I would have needed massive alterations...so I''m happy about not having to do that!

Its beautiful! Youre right about the corset back. mine is a corset and I didnt need any alterations, and you dont have to worry about it falling down.
