Sorry, I know I'm the last person on earth, I mean on PS, who still enjoys dark humor.

It was satisfying to watch… until you realize that it’s the owner of the car, not the thief, who will be left with a ruined (and likely under-insured) car.

But if FWD, car may have gone forward a bit, even after losing its rear axle.

FWD, no diff on that rear axle. Also it may have pulled off the wiring for the fuel pump.

The thief backed up and floored it three times before the axle and bumper pulled off. There was a resulting fire that was quickly put out.
What I find funny is the cars still coming down the entrance ramp while this is happening. Can you imaging seeing that (at least ten state and local police cars) as you trek to work as usual?
