... against the victim....but will file charge against the State? Yet she (the victim) filed a Civil Suit against the schools and received $1.5 Million for this rape she is now recounting? This young man spent 5 years in prison for something he didn't do and lost his opportunity to play pro football. Is it me  or is there something wrong with this picture? Should she repay and pay him too? Is there any price for lying and profiting from it? I know I must be missing something... help me understand...

she needs to pay the state back.
LE needs to arrest her for lying under oath.

This. Although there is no proof she's telling the truth this time. If she was sincere she's give back the money.

He was not a football pro. He was a very talented high school athlete who had college scholarship offers. There are no guarantees in sports, he could have lost motivation, gotten injured, gotten into trouble or just not been good enough to go pro. To say he was a pro is incorrect. He lost his opportunity, but hopefully he gets back into shape and can give it another try.

I'm sorry. I stand corrected... Still five years potential lost at a key time for athletes.

Should she repay him too? Absolutely, but on a practical note - it's doubtful he'd be able to recover much from the accuser and her family. No doubt much of the money is spent, and as others have noted, it's subject to claims from the school district that they got it from in the first place.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds. The news story mentioned that her story changed over time - and that some of the evidence contradicted her story. His case will probably be based on a lack of due diligence on the part of the DA.
