We are moving and selling our furniture.

We have a great Thomasville Down sofa that''s 5 yr old. It wasn''t the main seating so it''s in GREAT condition. It''s one of the extra long and extra deep sofas.

We paid clost to 3k for it....what''s a good price for a great, down sofa?

I''m thinking $500...is that too much? I''m going to list it on Craigslist

I would list it for that... and if you want to get rid of it, and someone offers you $300... and that sounds good... why not? some people do barter... and if not... then you''ve sold it for $500.

I think that $500 is a fair price without seeing it.

I''m thinking the rule of thumb is around 25% of original for furniture.

I''ve seen lots of down sofas for $1500-$2000 new. You may want to check into current pricing before you list yours.

I just checked for used Thomasville down sofas and they are listed between $400-$600.

thanks TLH and Somthingshiny. I was thinking of the $500 tag...and would take btwn $300-$400 if they want to barter

sounds good to me, especially on Craigslist, the better well priced nice items go pretty fast if they are reasonably priced.

That price sounds just right to me.

I think $500 is pretty darn fair.
