How would you design a hidden undergallery?

I wasn''t sure the best place to post this, but since I''m just asking personal opinion, I decided to try Hangout.

I''m working on a design for my star sapphire. Since it is a large stone and will have a large face, I though it best to enclose the bottom. But the point was made to me that, down the line, it would be better to leave the bottom open enough that the stone can easily be identified as natural. So, I''m looking at designing something for the undergallery that would still allow the stone to be visible, but it is something I could have fun with.

How would you design the undergallery?

Some kind of initials/monogram? That would be my first inclination. Or a gorgeous pattern a la Gypsy''s pendant.

My first thought was also initials. I have hearts on my ER, which I love, but that''s not uncommon. I assume you want something unique?

I immediately thought of a script M for my first initial, but this seems like an opportunity to do something totally unexpected!

I think that would be awesome. M is a great letter (I like certain letters better for this stuff, lol). I think it adds to the "heirloom" quality you are after.

I like this idea. It is still open enough and hopefully pricescope will still be around a long time from now and someone can see the ring and put it together. That would be really neat.

Oh, I''m glad - I liked the photos where the stone would peek out from the earlier search that we did for the ring.
