My wedding planning obsession will soon head toward the accessories. Here is my dress (with my veil & prior to any alterations...and without good makeup :) ). I love it and there are a lot if details, so I don''t want too many accessories. I am leaning toward a necklace b/c I think my neck needs it, but maybe I am just crazy.

option one
I was intending to wear my pearl necklace and a pair of drop earrings /w pearls/rhinestones that are about 1-2" long. I plan to wear my hair up with a lot of volume on top. I think in the back, I might wear a hear clip where the veil would go

option two
no necklace, large/longer earrings w/ an updo and lots of volume on top and again a clip at the back of my hair w/ veil

option three
a headband, no clip at veil, long earrings, no necklace

option four
pearls, smaller earrings and a headband

I also like the hair style below. Is it too much w/ this dress?

Of course, I am open to ideas. I wanted to kind of narrow down my thoughts before I started shopping. Thanks for your help.

I found this online. Its inspired by Guiliana Di Pandi Rancic wedding hair. I would need some sort of extensions to pull this look off

here is an inspiration for a Headband look

and another hair idea w/ a middle part, but I would pull the rest up some how to be a full updo, just parted down the middle

and maybe something like this sans the tiara thing

updo no tiara.jpg

and one more, inspired my Reese Witherspoon, that has more of the volume on top look I was talking about

I agree with you, I prefer simple wedding jewelry and don''t like to over do my accessories. However, I do think on your wedding day you should wear a necklace AND earrings (and a bracelet too!) Just keep the accessories very simple and they will not take away from the dress at all.

I like the idea of the pearl necklace, which you could match with a delicate pearl bracelet. I also think pearl drop earrings sound beautiful, but make sure they are simple and delicate.

The headband is very cute but I think it makes the beautiful updo look a little casual and is better for a rehearsal dinner or bridal shower. What about a headband that has a little more bling to it? Something like this one, but I am sure there are some even more delicate

PS. LOVE the dress. It is on my list of dresses to try on as well. You look great!

Oh sorry forgot to add, I like the first hairstyle, and Reese Witherspoon''s the best. They will look great with the dress. Although they are unique with a great flair, they are still simple enough that they look elegant. GOOD LUCK!

I''m kind of leaning towards option 2-no necklace as the detailing at the top of your dress is lovely, but with chandelier earrings and a killer up-do.

THnaks Izzy. I like the bling in the headband. I htink it looks pretty and maybe if I go that route I would wear some chandelier earrrings.

PS. the dresss feels great on! maggie make fabulous gowns! Can''t wait to hear how you like it when you try it on :)

what about something like violet''s head wrap? here''s a link for reference. it''s a versatile dress, so there''s a lot you could do with it! mucho beautiful!

Can I say I don't care for the pearls with that dress? I think something with pear accents would be nice, but not exactly a string of pearls. Your dress has a moden flare to it that isn't working with the full string of pearls for me.

I have some ideas about what I would do... but I don't know your taste and your jewelry comfort level. I love your hair ideas, and think the bun wraps are lovely.

Gyspy-

I LOVE those earrings, that are fantastic! Great ideas!! I''ve been thinking the same thing about the pearls. I am thinking a great updo and a fabulous pair of earrings will be where I put my accessory focus.

Thanks!

thanks to Gyspy''s link here and her chandelier earrings PSA, I found some great Nadri earrings at Nordstrom. I liked 2 pair and bought them both. Since I am still waiting form my gown to arrive, I may go back to the shop and try on my dress to determine what looks best. Any input on your part?

these have a larger crystal and the pave look very white in person. the crystal gives off great light and goes well w/ the beads on my gown. And I love the lever backs

and a chandelier style. I like that they are not too large/long. They give off great light too. Not sure if they are too busy for my dress?? and not 100% sure I like the hook back e/ the little plastic bobble thingy to hold the earring in place.

Can we see them on you with your hair up? I think that would make a big difference. Nice choices! I think, without seeing them on you, I'm leaning toward the first pair.

sure. I will take some pictures over the next few days and upload them. I am leaning toward the first pair too :)

I really like this updo if you go for the no headpiece look. It''s simple yet very elegant & glamorous at the same time. I think it would work well with your dress.

Thanks Sparkly- I love that style too! I was thinking of putting a hair comb in the back, under or above the braid, wherever I put the veil in :)

I guess w/ a style like this, one must use hair extensions?
