Does anyone know a simple way of watermarking your images without having to purchase some extra software?

Any computer geek out there could show me how to do it???

Many thanks in advance!!

Hey Megeve- I use word document to print watermarks, you''ll have to play around with this, you can select an image to watermark. but

on word doc this is how to find it:

Format> Background> Printed Watermark > then select your image and scale it to whatever % you need it to be or do what you need to with it.

hope that helps

Thanks for chiming in, D&T!

I followed your instruction on word doc.

Format>Background>Printed Watermark>select image & rescale> Heres where I got stucked. The watermark appears only in the background and I want it over the image and I can''t seem to do it!!!!!

I only use the watermark on our word document, and not on actual images. Hmm maybe that is a Photoshop thing? I only know how to type out words onto Paint like below, but it doesn't look like a watermark- its just text though. Hopefully someone else can chime in to help

or do you mean something like this? which is just text in paint.

if all you need is just text like pictured, then I circled what you would use in yellow

You would need to open up your image in "edit" mode, then
click on the "A" and then on the second box with the colored shape pattern so the text box becomes transparent and not opaque. On the very bottom is an array of color choice select the one you want your text color to be in
Then pick a spot on your image and left click drag however big of a space you need then Right Click > go to text toolbar then figure out what fonts you want to use and how large, then type in what you want. Disregard if this isn't what you are looking for.

What I want to learn is like AJSGems stone below with the embossed *agsgems* on it. Thanks for your help so far!

ETA: Ooops, the pic is so small! But you get the gist!

In Picasa, you can export your photos (file > export) and add a watermark of your choice.

Sillyberry, thank you so much! It worked! I am able to put watermark on my pics, only horizontally. Do you know whether I can do it diagonally?

One more Q: does your Picasa website comes on in english or german? My comes on in german!

D&T, thanks to you too! Yah, I manage too in Paint, a bit more work than Picasa.

While your text is still selected - has the little box around it - you should be able to grab a corner and rotate it.

MonkeyPie, a million thanks! I did it!! Its so simple! (Only have to learn to centralise it better! hehe!)
