Cheery red vintage "Amelia Earhart" carry-on case. It has a built in combination lock...that I can not recall the combination of. PLUS there is something in it. Not sure what, I think a vase, threw it in their when we moved two years ago "for safe keeping".

I''ve tried doing a google search, but haven''t found anything relevant.

You could try taking the case to a key person. I don''t know what they would do. They might know how to get into it though.

Success? still waiting...

Maya - locksmiths should have a way of nulling out the combination to open it for you. I would try that. Your other option is to get it cut off.

This is like the most ironic thread ever. Lockpicking on a diamond forum? Hilarious!

Have you tried searching for videos on YouTube? I had a pile of those Masters combination locks that I had lost combinations to, and I was able to figure out the combinations of each one after learning from YouTube videos. It takes a while, so patience and diligence is necessary.

It sounds like your lock is a bit different, but maybe there''s a video on YouTube for it.

I''ve opened a few combination locks with persistance.

000, 001, 002, 003, 004, etc.

Do it in front of the TV - usualy takes less than an hour.

Unset standard is usually 000 or 999
