I love these table numbers. unfortunately I am not graphically gifted or crafty.

How did they make these?

did the find paper like that and draw on the numbers? Print on the numbers?

Did they make the paper themselves?

Is there some kind program they maybe used?

It looks so simple, i am sure i could figure it out...if i knew where to start.

i think that your best bet at trying to replicate these would be to do a search for ''swirly pink background indie'' or something like that, save the graphic file, take it over to word, size it appropriately, type a number on it, print it on some nice ivory paper, and then use spray glue to adhere it to the black background. does that make sense?

or i bet that they could be very easily commissioned on etsy.com

Ditto to what Mimzy said - or you could go to Paper Source and look at the rubber stamps and do it that way too....

Printing might be easier than stamping though. Good luck!!!

Oooh, if i do stamps then i can buy different ink pads.... then make them in different colors.

Is there a way to change the color and still print them if i find a clip art i like?

Hi Gwyn, I don''t know about changing the actual saved image to make it a different color. You could def. do it in Photoshop, if you have the program.

I got all the stuff to make my table numbers from Paper Source. My mom and I wandered around the store for over an hour. So fun!

Good luck and let us know what you come up with! When I have my tester I''ll post it too :)

You can definitely do that in photoshop it is just a matter of downloading the appropriate brushes and fonts :).

Not to sure about the clip art though.

I'll work on it and post something for you.

Those are beautiful Iwanna!

Gwen - If you like those, I''d print them on nice, heavy UNTEXTURED cardstock. You might have to go to a paper supply store to get that as most cardstock sold in craft stores is textured and doesn''t print that well. Your backing cardstock should also be really heavy so that it can support the front layer.

For something like this, I''d recommend using the Tombo Mono Multi Glue. It forms a nice strong bond between layers of paper.

Thanks Erica!

Great suggestions btw.

Thanks! I design and sell greeting cards as a "side business" so I''ve played around with lots and lots of different papers and adhesives.

Personally, my favorite favorite favorite paper is made by a company called Stampin'' Up. They sell rubber stamps and accessories through home demonstrators, sort of like Avon or Partylite. I know it sounds odd, but their stuff is phenomenal. They make smooth cardstock that is to die for! It is smooth and heavy, and when you print on it the ink sort of sits at the top and doesn''t bleed/sink in which is one of the biggest problems I''ve had with various cardstocks.

OMG those are perfect! I have adobe photoshop (not that I have ever used it) and downloaded a free trial of publisher from Microsoft. I searches yesterday for click art but couldnt find any big enough and didnt know how to fix the blurriness with either program. Somewhere I read that illustrator lets you sharpen an image.

Anyway, how did you find that art? and change the color?

We are having 6 tables and out colors are a fall pallete so we were thinking about doing the little curves in orange red and gold (2 of each). Of different hues of fall.

I searched for pink swirly circles.

The color was changed in photoshop.

ooh i think i see the one you found. and then you must have cropped it or something. OOOOh thank you thank you!

One more question. how did you do the actual number? I tried using one that you posted and deleting the number and using a text box to make a new number but I couldnt get the number anywhere near big enough. did you do something special? or is it just a font thing?

I changed the font size to 85 (4x4" card).

Beautiful work IWanna! I''m not talented at all that way.
