So after having two kids, back breaking baths, and always hold one child on the arm and hip, my posture is very poor. How to get back my good posture (well I never had the greatest posture to begin with) but I need some ideas any thoughts? I really need to strengthen my back as well.

Yoga and/or pilates

Thanks HH, i hadn''t thought of that. I''ll have to check it out

Lifting light weights can help strengthen your back and improve posture. Use free weights rather than machines because that way your body will experience more natural motion.

While I was pregnant I was told to do a standing posture exercise. They had me stand with my back to the wall and press my lower back flat to the wall and then my shoulders alternating for like ten minutes. It really did seem to level out my hips and help my posture. I do something similar now with yoga, but It''s on your hands and knees.

Strengthen your abs. If you do one exercise, make it the plank.

Ditto! I have been doing both for over 5 years and I swear I am taller!

Thanks ladies. I will work on your recommendations...

Another vote for pilates. I have a TERRIBLE back and before I got pregnant, I did it for 7 months and I swear, for the first time in my life, my back felt pretty good! Then I got pregnant and got into two car accidents (rear ended). My back has been terrible since, even though I did do pilates until I was 8 months pregnant. It just wasn''t the same after I was pregnant because I didn''t do anything rigorous.
