How often do you accidently revisit threads?

Maybe I just have a bad memory for thread titles, but I would guess that about 5 times a day I click on a thread (usually SMTR threads) only to realize I''ve started reading a thread I read yesterday...

This almost always happens with threads that I just want to see pictures in (SMTR, Colored Stones, etc) but I can''t imagine how much time I waste revisiting threads...

Anyone else do this, or am I alone here haha?

I wish sometimes that threads were like emails where they turn a different color once you''ve visited them hehe. Maybe that would save me some time. Or that people were really specific in their titles like "1.35 carat pear in miligrained antique setting" as opposed to "my beautiful new sparkly"... I just can''t keep those generic titles straight!

That would be really nice.

Although, I confess that I''ve enjoyed the majority of a multipage thread only to find that I recognise a particular post somewhere near the end, and then I realize that I''ve read it before...

Callisto-on the side of each thread is what looks like 3 boxes and either a red diamond or a yellow sun/star. The red diamond means that you have already read it and the yellow sun/star means that you either haven''t read it or there are new posts from the last time you visited.

But I agree with a better set up! On another forum I visit everything is highlighted/bold and whatever you have read is not highlighted.

Never.

I am aware of the diamond/star system, but I still revisit threads because I don''t remember the title.

Gosh, that would be weird to do. I can understand your frustration.

Hmm, didn''t somebody else just ask a question very similar to this?

Those stars don''t actually work for me. Dunno if it''s my browser or what... they''re just pretty much always red, even when there is new stuff.

Yeah I just checked and they don''t seem to work for me either... but it just seemed random. A lot of threads I KNOW I haven''t read that had red dots... My memory''s not THAT bad... I know I haven''t read some of the ones that are red.

Hehe fleur you are too funny...

You know what though... even if that diamond system was working for me, it wouldn''t totally solve my problem cause the majority of threads I have this issue with are SMTR where really once you''ve seen the pictures are not worth revisiting to look at new comments of people drooling over the bling. But as people posted more praise of the jewelry, the side indicator would turn orange and I''d probably end up back in the thread.

I don''t know...I''ve been around PS far too long to pull accidental revisitations, I guess.
