Just curious!
After I reply to a "help me, please!" type thread, I go back and check in to see if they've replied to what I said, asked for clarification or more advice, etc. I just ran across such a thread that I'd forgotten about, because the OP took about 4 days to come back and post again. His question to me went unanswered because, after a couple of days, I stopped going back to "check" if he had more questions.
So I felt bad, and then realized that 2 days or so must be my threshold for "forgetting" a thread. I'll post a response, check back every now and then for a couple of days, and then it's out of my mind. But most people don't treat forums that way... they'll come to a new place, post a question, then check back a few days or even a week later to read all the responses. At least, that's what I do in forums other than PS, because if I'm not a "regular," I'll forget to check back until a few days have passed.
Anyway, how about you? How long is it before you don't "check in" on a thread anymore?
