ring?

Normally I wash mine every few days. . .but last week, I took it into the jeweler and had the gal there clean it. Well, that lead to a 1/2 session of trying on settings (DH is almost on board about me getting a new setting in June) and that was a little too much fun.

Time to clean it today. I''m also going back to the mall to look at more settings!

I need to throw mine in the US pronto. It''s really grimy.

It''s been a day.
Yuck, gross.

Must clean now.

Just cleaned/scrubbed them this morning.
MC, did you mean "clean" or try on new rings?

Also this morning.

Hmmm ... probably 2 months! I used to take it to the jewelry store for cleaning at least once a month, but after the wedding and since being unemployed, I don't wear it as often and just wear my plain wband most days, so it's really not dirty.

I used to clean it twice a week, but lately I''ve been so busy I haven''t cleaned it in a couple weeks - it''s so dirty, I think I''ll clean it this afternoon!

I rinsed mine with warm water and buffed it with a cotton cloth this morning, but it needs a dip in the cleaner sooner rather than later.

Usually about once a week. When my mom was here a few weeks ago, I cleaned her rings for her; I know she never cleans them on her own. Ick. There was icky grime caked into the setting and I even had to get out a brush; my Branson U/S didn''t get it all the first time. They were so much more sparkly after I did it! My rings usually stay pretty sparkly because I take them off to wash my hands, put on moisturizer, etc.

last week. i clean them usually 1-2 times a week. i have a little pot of cleaner on my nightstand, so i give them a little soak while we watch TV at night.

Here's how I see it.
Every day you let it go uncleaned it looses half its value. (in appearance).
This is scientifically proven by KISS, the prestigious Kenny Institute of Stupid Science.

So your $10,000 diamond looks like a $5000 diamond the day after cleaning it.
The next day, if you don't clean it, it looks like a $2500 diamond.
The next day, $1250, and so on.

This means if you only clean yours weekly your $10,000 diamond looks like 39 bucks before cleaning.

LOL, I know what you mean. Before the baby, my ring got cleaned in the US 1-2 x per week. Now, it''s more like once every 2-3 months.

Ha, ditto! It''s been a month or so...but it''s still pretty sparkly, actually! I need to clean it soon.

Ohhh Kenny, I love your math.

Mine goes in the US when I remember...maybe every coupla weeks? Still remains shiny inbetween baths though!

At least a month....it doesn''t fit anymore, maybe after the baby is born it will fit again

on my first ering I went months without cleaning it, then on my upgrade, I go maybe two weeks at the most, I"m obsessed about the sparkle now

3-4 days

I don''t wear it everyday and clean it about every other time I wear it.

It just got it''s monthly full-service cleaning on Sunday night. (That would be soaking it in Gemcare, scrubbing with a soft toothbrush, and then a trip through the Jewelry Spa.) Also, I try to remember to scrub it with just the Gemcare and toothbrush once a week.

Ha! I used to be obsessed with cleaning it. Now, it's lucky if it gets cleaned more than once every two weeks or so! I do make sure my studs are always clean. Sometimes I just stick the studs, rings and whatever other bling I wore that day into a glass with Efferdent! Yes, the fizzy tablets used to clean dentures!

I figure if they can clean something as challenging as dentures, they can get my diamonds clean! The next morning, everything is super squeaky clean and sparkly...like dentures would be, I imagine! DH bought a ton of Efferdent tablets to clean his retainer but he never uses them. So I do...for my sparklies!

About a week. We''re out of town for over a month and I forgot to bring my US, so I clean it with a toothbrush when I get a chance.

About 7 hours.

When I take a shower I drop them into a tub of jewelry cleaner that sits in my linen closet. I have only showered with my ring on about 3-4 times in the year that I''ve had it. This weekend I went 3 days without cleaning it because I was out of town. I was just too pre-occupied with other things to clean it with my toothbrush while I was gone.

I try to clean it every other wearing. It''s amazing how filmy

they can look because of all the hand lotion in winter time. Somehow, it gets up in there everywhere.

hehehe the latter. Unfortunetly, I was stuck in the dentist's office. I went to get a check up and to schedule a cleaning, but they were so slow and then my insurance was all messed up so I had to sit in my car making calls to get that all worked out. Then after lunch it was time to come home, check PS, then pick up my kids and take them to visit santa (only the younger of the two wants to be in the photo this year! lol)

(oh, but the santa station is in the same part of the mall next to ben bridge. Maybe I'll pop in there!

I cleaned mine before I left for work this morning. Every time I shower, I put my e-ring (and sometimes wedding band) into jewelry cleaner, then gently scrub with a baby toothbrush and dry with the hairdryer on cool once I''m done with my hair, then back onto my finger it goes.

about twenty minutes now

I usually clean it every two to three days. I think Sunday was the last day I cleaned my ring. I tend to notice the grime pretty quick. I''ve been really pleased that the bezel setting I just got doesn''t inhibit cleaning- I was afraid there''d be a permanent ring of dirt under the edge, but it cleans perfectly. 6 prong settings have been much worse.

Sooooo, MC

Spill! Did you find a new setting you''re considering? (Resetting, it''s such fun- you can take your time and fiddle and consider to your heart''s content since you already have your sparkly on your finger

I just happened to clean it yesterday, but it''s usually whenever I think of it (could be weeks or even months).

I rinse it in hot water, then use a baby toothbrush and dish washing liquid and give it a good scrub.

Probably right before I went home for Thanksgiving. I like it to look its best when it sees outsiders

Although I don''t know that it did any good, as I rarely wear it these days because I''m unemployed and sit at home all day! No need to dirty up a ring just to sit on the computer looking for jobs. Plus, it is super loose these days because I am always cold and spins so much it drives me nuts!
