I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder. I get depressed from September through till April. I am on medication so I am not so bad now, but in the past I was severely affected. I was relieved to find out that it was a genuine illness! You aren''t alone!

Snap Maisie!

Last winter was just awful for me. I gotta do something about it this year. Thanks for the link.

We also get huge swings in pressure here, and that plays havoc with my head.

I get seriously depro in rainy, overcast weather. I''m used to constant sunshine. If I lived in London I would probably be really depressed all the time.
I know a lot of Londoners who feel like that. And some others that think it''s the greatest city in the world.

One thing I don''t miss are the endless weeks of interminable rain and grey overcast weather. Calgary has predominantly two seasons, Summer and Winter. Spring and Fall are short.

The good thing is that the sun shines so much of the time here.

Awww... I''m sorry... It was nice when we went out though!

I''m sorry to hear the rest of the trip wasn''t all that hot. Yes, Seattle rain is coming in.

I get that way a lot here. I try to make myself happy by buying bright colored rain boots and jumping in puddles. :) Perhaps you could try this?

I am definitely not myself in winter. I hate being cold, I get depressed when I don''t see the sun, and I can''t stand how grey and dull everything gets! I loved living in Thailand and Singapore where it was warm all year, where the biggest seasonal changes were ''Hot and dry'' ''Hot and kind of wet'' ''Hot and really wet.''
Same here! When I wake up in the morning, look outside and see grey clouds and cold rain, all I want to do is just go back to sleep and stay in bed all day. And the only time I''m willing to tolerate snow is around Christmas (hey, white Christmas is cool!

) By the end of the year though I''m so tired of the cold, the freezing wind and the snowdrifts that I''m praying for the winter to end already!

I''ve noticed I''m just a different person when it''s warm and sunny outside - I feel much happier and energetic.

Where in FL do you live because I''m in FL as well and it rains everyday!!

The summer has no affect on me ever since I graduated from school. The warm weather used to make me happy since it meant beaches and pools but now there''s no time. Rainy weather makes me anxious. I feel like I''m confined to the 4 walls of my home.

My absolute favorite is cold weather. It makes me feel calm. Funny thing is that I hate being cold at home and prefer to keep the house at 78. Go figure..
Hey fiery!! Where do you live too? I live in St. Pete and I enjoy FL in the winter as well!! I keep the house temp at 77 so we''re the same there. Where in FL does it rain everyday? I mean, beyond during hurricane season, which I can''t even remember when that starts and ends.

I think the weather affects me in some ways. If we go too long without rain, I get grumpy for some reason. I love a rainy day or two. On the other side, if it rains for too long, I wish for a sunny day. The grass is always greener, huh?

We''re now living in a climate that is much more mild than what we''re used to. I''m wondering how this will affect me. My husband will love not being snowed in during a snowstorm but I think I''ll miss it.

Long NE winters destroy me. I think there are maybe 3-4 more in me and then we have to move south. I get pneumonia every other year or so, develop a sad streak, and have broken ankles on the ice...I love love love boston, but it is literally killing me.

ZB, report to me on the NC weather, it is my ideal; mountains with ocean, good schools, and funky liberal areas.
