We heard about it right after it went missing. Grateful it''s not a Boeing. Here''s hoping that it was storm related (iffy IMO) and not a terrorist attack. I''m not saying that it couldn''t have been lightning, but hey, heavy''s get hit by lightning all the time and they don''t go down. Also, typically even if there was storm damage the pilot or copilot would have had time to call in a mayday. Planes don''t just drop like a stone for the most part, there''s normally time for chatter.
I don''t like this, but I really want to be wrong.

Understandable PP. I don''t know anything about the statistics of plane crashes but I assume it''s an extremely rare occurrence, statistically speaking?
