How are you all celebrating Mother''s day?

We are going to some Mother''s day celebration at my daughter''s school this morning. She already accidently let slip she made me handmade soap for mother''s day (bless her heart).
My husband said he got me something and no it''s NOT jewelry

What''s up with everyone else? Anyone expecting Mother''s day pressies?

This is my first mother''s day ever

My son is 11 weeks old!

DH plans to let me sleep in Sunday morning (after the morning nursing) and then we are all going out to brunch at my favourite breakfast place.

No jewelry this year because we have already broken the bank on my upgrade and baby ring, but I will get my upgrade on Tuesday so it will *feel* like a mother''s day present!

Not a mom, not celebrating with my own mom. She asked me not to visit as her siblings are all desending on her house this weekend for an undetermined amount of time to visit my grandmother. My husband''s mom is deceased, her birth date falls on mother''s day this year. We donated money to a charity that will fill the pantry of 2 elderly people in honor of both of our mom''s. I''m sending mine a card and I''m sure we''ll talk on MD.

Got her a purse she was liking, and also got her some Bare Minerals makeup, since she's been wanting to try that.

We'll get together and have a meal - it's a combo of celebrating MD and my birthday that was Wednesday.

Dreamer though no "new" shinies, it''s always nice to have something to look forward. Congrats on being a new mom!
Kimberly that is such a thoughtful gesture for the food pantry, I like that idea.
Lovethem going out is always nice. We typically don''t because in our town mother''s day is also graduation weekend so the restaurants are packed, but maybe hubby will make dinner or something.
Got my Mom an Elizabeth Arden mini hatbox perfume sampler, card, and photos of recent trip visiting her plus Easter pics of the grandkids.

My sister and I takes turns throwing a big brunch each year and we invite her husband''s side of the family and my DH''s side of the familiy. Of course, as usual my MIL won''t come,and we''ll have to visit her later. But I won''t let that ruin my day!

My mom passed away 2 years ago and I visit her grave, have a long one sided conversation, and plants her favorite flowers.

Driving down to take my mom to lunch on Saturday, and dinner with the huge in-law clan on Sun for my MIL. I''m getting both Mom''s orchid plants.

My mom lives almost 2000 miles away, so she''s getting an Edible Arrangement and a phone call.

We''re going out to dinner with FF''s mom on Saturday.

Making dinner for my FMIL and FSIL on Sunday. My mom will see us for Memorial Day weekend, and we''ll celebrate then.

We (me, DH, my brothers) are taking mom to a really nice afternoon tea at a beautiful winery where we are all members of the wine club. I also got her a cute little makeup kit that I think she''ll like and a pretty scarf

I''m not a mom and my own mom is out of the country for the next couple months. I will be sending her an e-card. We will celebrate her bday and mother''s day when she gets back.
My DH and I are taking out my 2 aunts( my mom''s side) and uncles to brunch.

I''m calling my mom the day of. Her birthday is in two weeks, so we are all going down to visit then. I am bringing her some homemade goodies, as well as some tomato plants I grew for her. Siblings and I will probably go in on a group gift - something nice.

We make a bigger deal out of bdays in my family.

Well, my mom is overseas. As usual, I have sent her a big bouquet of flowers. I am not very imaginative. But she loves flowers, so it''s okay.
