Hi all,
I know I haven''t been around much lately, and I apologize for that. As many of you know my DH and I were in the process of moving from California to Houston, and I have been getting started at my new job (which I LOVE so far!). The move was unfortunately not quite as smooth as we''d hoped, but we''re here now, more or less settled, and my mom is coming to visit in a couple of weeks for her birthday.
Since we haven''t had a ton of time to explore the city, I''m hoping some of you who have lived here for longer can help me out with recommendations for stuff to do with her while she''s here. Obviously from the thread title, spa time and getting afternoon tea are both popular options for her. Any suggestions on good places to do either would be most welcome.
Other than that, my mom loves to shop, especially good sales, and we are both big foodies, but also mostly vegetarians (well, me entirely, her mostly). She is a bit mobility limited but can do some walking, so I was thinking of possibly a museum, but not sure which one(s).
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
