I think I read somewhere you''re a bike guy. Did you happen to catch about the last 500 feet of today''s final stage in Paris?

Unbelievable talent and speed. Wow!

Nope, didn''t catch it. I''m not much of a TV person (turned off my cable over three years ago). I might see if I can find a clip online. My biking is mostly related to triathlons rather than road racing, though I do still marvel at the abilities of those guys to ride those distances day after day at speeds I can only dream of.

BTW, you are being paged in Who''s Who

Good for you.

Spoiler about the finish below. Look down at your own risk. Nothing major though... just impressive.

I've done road racing but do mostly time trials these days. I did do the bike leg of a tri recently. The roads were wet and I had trouble passing everybody on the very crowded course. So much for no-drafting rules. No wonder I prefer TT's! I give you tri people a lot of credit... I don't know how you can go from one to the other to the other.

Paged??? I'll take a look...
Wait... Who's Who... oh no...

Spoiler: It was just an unbelievable all-out sprint. No crashes or anything but the peloton was probably pushing 40+MPH and two guys just went off the front and rode away from them like nothing.

I''m not jet but I watched it! What a great last stage. And Cavendish was ridiculous at the end!

we watched too and have been every morning (on Versus, DISH Network)
their skills and endurance - well just blow my mind!

Just watched a video of the last 6.5km. Wow! Great acceleration by Cavendish, though he owes Hincapie and especially Renshaw a couple drinks for getting him set up and then out in front by that much. Watching the team tactics was very interesting. Columbia/HTC took control at the right time and basically brushed Garmin off on the corner.

Bebe, thing2of2 -- I agree. I watched most stages. Love the fanfare on the mountain stages. I''m going to have to add that to my someday list (watching live, not riding).

Jet - I forgot about that last corner. Incredible tactics and talent. Yup - I suspect Cavendish was buying drinks last night.
