Are you going to be in WNY this summer? Want to do a GTG?

I would love to! We''ll have to figure out a time to meet up eventually. This summer I only have one week off, which is the last (full) week of June. Unfortunately, it is unclear if a trip home will fit into my plans because we have to move to Baltimore that week, too. I am hoping to figure something out and I will let you know when I know my plans better.

Is anyone else in WNY?? I know there are some PSers a bit north in Canada, but not sure of anyone else in the area.

Oooh iluv- I had no idea you lived in WNY! Very cool!

Oh that would be so much fun!
I am pretty flexible, so just let me know!
Are you all done with your residency?

I wasn''t born here, but have lived here a long time.
Originally I''m from MA, and spent some time in SoCal.
Do you ever get back here?

WNY? Please translate-Western New York? FI and I will be in Central NY (Syracuse) for labor day.

Hi HH!
Icekid is from Buffalo, and I''m in Rochester. Syracuse is about an hour and a half east on I90. I definitely travel to meet some PSers!

I get back to WNY several times a year to visit family. My neice and nephew are my heart, so I try and get back to see them as much as possible. But I will definitely be there the weekend of 7/11 for my sister's wedding. I've been thinking of extending my trip to inclue the 4th of July, but I'm still a little undecided on that. Wow a WNY GTG, would be neat, plus I'd love to meet my twinnie icekid!

eta- Oh I just saw that twinnie only has that last week in June. Bummer, man!

Oh my gosh. If you do this, I SO want to go. Really. I want to meet some PSer''s have been here for 5 years, and I''ve never met ANY of you. MUST go to meet the gals. You gals have to translate WNY for me. Where is that? I just looked up Buffalo and it''s 512 km (so less then a 5 hour drive for me. Very tempting). Not to mention I could get some IHOP too.

Allycat- Are you in ON? I had no idea! WNY= Western New York (Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Rochester).

Hmmm.... Here's a thought, what about a TO GTG? I don't think it's too far from Buffalo (maybe Rochester though...) and I think there are a few more PSers there. Come to think of it maybe Buffalo is the more centralized spot between Syracuse and Canada... One thing I love about our NorCal GTG's is going to B&M's together for some eye candy though, and I'm afraid Buffalo doesn't have much to offer in fine jewelry!

iluv- Unfortunately, I am just finishing my intern year. We are moving to Baltimore to finish up residency. Maybe. Someday! haha... you know what a long road it is.

mia- I''d love to plan something when you are in town, as well! Toronto would be a cool idea, probably a little closer for ally. I love Toronto

My schedule sucks, however. Hopefully it won''t take us too too long to put this all together.

ally- oooooooh I would love it so much if you came, too! Montreal really is not too far from Buffalo, actually. And yeah, WNY = Western New York which basically means Buffalo and Rochester to the locals. (Am writing you a message on FB right now!)

Safe to say I have a little experience with that

How long is your residency?

Mia: No I'm not in Ontario. I'm in Montreal, but I'm pretty sure I can drive there easily. It's not that far. Let me see what Icekid says. I would love to meet you gals!

Icekid: You'll only be home last week of June???? No no no. I supposed to be getting married then! Argh. Let us all know. I'm dying to meet you so I can vent in person, see that gorgeous ring too!

iluv- I have 4-5 more years to go. Eww. Doctors don''t work very hard though

ally- I think your wedding probably takes precedence over meeting up. We definitely have to figure something out, though!

You will get through! Hang in there!
My DH did a 6 year residency and a 2 year fellowship. It felt like it would never end, but it did

What about for the holidays Ice? Are you usually home then? DH and I swear up and down that we''ll stop going for Christmas, because it''s always so hectic and the weather isn''t great, but somehow we always manage to go back!

mia- I don''t know my holiday schedule yet, though I should have off either Christmas or New Year''s. I am crossing my fingers for Christmas, though!

Ooh that would probably work!

we usually stay from Christmas to New Years so there should be some overlap!
