SO-I posted about finding the perfect engagement photo outfit a few weeks ago when I made my appt. TODAY the photography place calls to confirm and TODAY they give me advice on what to wear, for a picture we are taking TOMORROW!!!!!

They said we should be in the same color, FI is wearing tan, I''m wearing forest green. Will it clash too much? Should I wear a brown?? I''m SO ANGRY right now because it took me FOREVER to find the shirt I finally decided on and now I have to switch!!!

So-should I find a brown shirt to match his tan?

I may be biased because Ive never been a fan of the "matchy-matchy" look, but I think forest green would compliment tan very nicely. I wouldnt worry too much (dont want to break out

I wouldn''t worry about it. I''d just wear the green shirt and rock it. Besides, green and tan are very complimentary, and I''ve never heard that you have to wear matchy matchy shirts. Wear what you feel comfortable and look beautiful in!

THANK YOU!!!!!

sctsbride09 That is EXACTLY what I was going for when I picked green-I''m not a ''matchy-matchy'' fan either and don''t want to look like those bad family photos where everyone is in a denim shirt

Freke Thanks for the vote of confidence, I think I''m just going to wear what I had planned

I still don''t get why they chose to tell me this TODAY!

Ha! thats exactly what i had in mind, those denim shirts!lol

matchy matchy is for the birds. green and tan will look great

Please feel free to totally disregard my opinion because I didn''t even do formal e-pics. I think green and tan look really nice together, but I would maybe say it would be better to both be wearing dark or both be wearing light. I remember from studio photos that if there is a dark background, the person wearing a dark shirt would sort of blend in and the one wearing a light shirt would stand out, and opposite with a lighter background.

Thank Mimzy!

Sabine-I agree, but I am assuming it won''t be a dark background because usually that doesn''t make for good photos anyways...who knows-I think I''m bringing another shirt just in case!

Another vote for wearing the green shirt! Be yourself!

I''d be a little worried about my photographer if they wanted me to be so matchy. It would make me wonder if the pics will be all posed and stuffy, or if they have some creative imagination to make the photos look fun and "photojournalistic" style. If it were me, I would talk to them and re-iterate my preference, to make sure they understand what I expect. Of course, that''s just me.

I think I wore bronze and him...um navy blue??

We did half white on white and then half colors...I really love the colors.

forgot that some are on here.

Of the pics that IWPO posted, the ones in different coloured shirts are the best. I think you''re fine with tan and green! (But if you''ll sleep better, take options.)

Thanks Marchswallowbird, IWPO, Sarah and pjean.

Our picture was today and I wore the original outfit planned and the woman who photographed us said it went really nicely. I also had a light tan jacket that I put on for some pictures and then took off. I think it went well, AND we got to take pictures inside and out!
