Okay, so I know I just posted that I bought my shoes. Then I was reading a blog, and stumbled across this picture of a pair of Caparros shoes.

So, please help me find them!

Oh, I wear a 10 or 11.

I am working on it. The closest I''ve got are a pair I found on ebay, but they''re a slingback and a 9. So not the same shoes, but the vamp is exactly the same. So ahh!! I''ll keep looking.

So, I found them. Thank you, Weddingbee!

Now what do I do? I love them, but they are too tall and don''t come in blue.

The purple or gold is tempting...

Sigh, should I just stick with the shoes I bought, or try these, too?

Amandine, I think they've got two strikes against them - they're too tall, and don't come in the color you're hoping for.

What do you not like about the shoes you already have?

And when is the wedding? How much time do you have?

I "gave up" a pair of JCrew shoes that I loved because they were too tall. I ended up buying a pair that were much chaper and did just fine. I didn't worry too much about the shoes - even though I wanted them to be nice, I knew they'd be covered most of the time.

ETA: I may have asked you this already - but what is your dog's name? (I like to know about everyone's pets

I really like those Amandine.

That''s all I''m going to say.

Claudinam--my dog''s name is Edgar. And he may get a little sister soon...FI fell for this adorable little black cocker spaniel puppy at Petsmart''s adoption fair last Sunday. He keeps trying to rationalize not getting her by saying we can''t afford her (but we can). So, who knows? He keeps looking for her on Petfinder.

So, the shoes. I called my local DSW and tried them on in the silver, the only color they had in stock. Sigh, and they are gorgeous. FI is not home so I am going to go try on my dress with the other shoes to look at the length. I can return shoes ordered online with DSW at the store, so I might order the gold and purple (!!) to see.

I do still like my other shoes, but I love the bow on the Caparros, and have worried that the ones I already have might be too plain. Of course, I sew, and I could sew a cute little bow like the one on the Caparros on my Nine West pair.

Will update after trying on dress.

EDGAR! What a great name, suits him perfectly, judging by the picture! I hope you get the other cutie too.

If you''re not loving the other shoes, thinking they might be too plain, I say keep trying! I tried on a LOT of shoes at different department stores, bridal shops, and ordered from Zappos too...

So I know I said I didn''t care about the shoes, but that was after trying really really hard (I was not willing to spend more than what I had spent on the JCrew ones, though, which were $120 when they went on sale from $195).

Let us know what happens after you try on the dress!

Okay, tried dress on (it still fit! Not that I was worried, but I hadn''t tried it on since February or something).

I already own these Blue Tux''s Elise in bronze. These were on sale, and were going to be my "back-up" shoes, for when my feet begin to hurt late in the evening so I am not a barefoot bride.

I bought the Nine West Koolbride earlier this week.

I had my friend Ali come over, and she brought another friend, too. I didn''t have the Caparros, but pulled another pair in a similiar heel height from my closet. Our conclusion is that the Nine West pair is a better height.
39.gif

However, I still really, really love the Caparros, and may order a pair for myself anyway. Can''t hurt, right? So I could be a three shoe bride! I still have time to return the Nine West pair, and may hit a few bridal shops in town this coming week, just in case. Ali said that they may look plain to me now, but once they are dyed they will draw more attention. And she''s right.

But don''t be surprised if you see me in a pair of gold or purple Caparros for my rehearsal dinner or something! And don''t let this stop anyone from making any recommendations, either!

I SO feel your pain...I had LOVED those JCrew shoes and kept them until the LAST possible moment before returning them by the deadline...but they were too high, and I knew it...

I think you should DEFINITELY order the Caparros for another night.

I also think that you should look for something to sew onto your original shoes, in case you don''t find anything else...just to add a little something to them.

Yeah, he''s our hairy beast. You can''t even see his collar, its as if really he has a mane.

Oh, and its the name he came with when we adopted him at four months. I loved it.

I know, and I will keep trying. These (outside of the Caparros) are the closest I have come. Its hard to find a cute shoe...with a low heel. Everything I am drooling over is a higher heel, which is what I am used to buying.

Amandine... Amandine... Amandine ....
You are killing me !!!
Apparently we have the same taste in shoes. I called every 9West outlet in my area for the Nine West Rosetso you posted in my size to no avail. Now I will be heading to my local DSW tomorrow to try these on. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them...

Can I actually buy my wedding shoes, before I have even tried on a dress or picked a hall???

I really like them, especially in the yellow that is hot! I might order a pair when I get some more $$.

ETA: I guess they're gold..still

them!

Amandine - I am no help really as I just did a quick search. I literally just tried these on at DSW a couple of hours ago while looking for wedding shoes. Just lovely. Unfortunatly for me too...they were a 7 and I am a 6.5.....my poor foot kept slipping out of the back. The are very lovely, and dare I say...comfy too.
I will keep looking and let you know if I find them (for me too [:Up_to_some
