Ok i am going to a wedding this weekend and I am trying to chose between two dresses. I took a bunch of pics but, due to my lack of pic taking skill and a 3 mega pixel camera...they didnt come out the best. Either way, i thought i would post and let you all decide which you liked more.

I am going to start by posting the best pic i could get of the color scheme in the first dress. it goes from blue to a really pretty pink

Here are the two best pics I could get of the front of the dress with the shoes

Here is the best I could get of the sides.

Here is the second dress. Now the dress has belt loops for a belt but didnt come with one =( i think it is more that the boutiwue shop misplaced the belt... Anyway Here is a front view of the dress with and without the belt I found to go with it. I would have to cut the belt loops off if i didnt wear a belot because they stick out alot (cant tell b/c the photo is too dark)

And last I have a slightly brigher pick of the side of the red dress with the belt on. Regardless of the bely on or off the dress balloons up in the lower area. I dont know if i like how large this makes my rear look. It doesnt need any extra help!

Alright, let me know what you all think / which one you like most. I plan to wear one of them to the wedding this weekend. Also, thinking about using one for my rehersal dinner dress and also one for a cocktail reception we are having on the east coast after our actual wedding. Just a lil celebration for friends and family that couldnt make the trip out west.

Anyway, let me know what you all think. =)

Oh and if anyone is wondering the striped one is a BGBC MaxAzaria and the red one is a private boutique dress made here in Sherman Oaks,CA.

I love number 1 on you! I like the unique colouring and I think it's super flattering. On the other hand, number 2 is just blah (imho) and I seriously don't care for the big belt. I just don't think the second dress does anything for your fab figure. Just my two cents. By the way, I couldn't stop chuckling at the shot of you on the step ladder trying to get a picture of the dress and shoes.

ETA: Took a second look at the red dress - I think your waist looks super tiny

I think it's the belt that's throwing me off. My vote's still for number 1 though - love it on you!

I like #2 without the belt!

#1 looks great on you.

I like #2.

I think I like it with a belt, but I am not totally loving that belt. I like the shoes in the first picture with the second dress.

With or without a belt, #2. Hands down.

ETA: I do think that dress 1 showcases your figure better, but I am not a fan of the dress.

I noticed the step ladder too!! Hysterical.

Oh I should also mention that of the 3 events, there will only be about 4 people who are attending any 2 of the three, so wearing one dress to all of them wouldnt matter much since not alot of people at any event will have seen it.

I tried to go use the bathroom mirror for pics since the lighting was better but i needed to stand on a ladder to be tall enough to fit (i am only 5 feet tall) LOL

I like #2 on you, but definitely without the belt. The saturated colour is nice. There was a post here the other day about wearing red to weddings....I think the general consensus was that red was okay? Someone can correct me if I''m wrong.

#2, without or with a belt (but not with that belt).

BUT - I tend not to like things too colorful, so that is definitely influencing not liking #1 as much. I do think #1 fits your body well, though.

I''m with miraclesrule... I like the red dress with a belt, but just not that particular belt. You could get some black ribbon (maybe grosgrain or satin?) and tie it around your waist. I''ve been known to do that when I can''t find the right belt and it works great!

Wow I must have missed that thread. I am a lil hesitant to wear the red dress to the wedding because her bridesmaids are dressed in red (which is why i went shopping for a new dress to begin with).

I spoke to her and she said she didnt care, it was going to be pretty casual and noone she knew would think twice if I also wore red.

As for the belt, I bought it at the place i bought the dress, the salesperson helped out with it. I personally dont care for belts in general and was considering just lopping off the loops and going beltless. If i am not wearing a black belt then I would prolly scatch the black shoes as well. i have black strappy sandles and also could wear the silver shoes with the red...

I am still a little partial to the first dress, i think it looks the best with my pale skin. I dont like that, with my arms up, it makes me look a little wider then I am. But how often will my arms be up like that LOL.

Oh Also, i do have other dresses so if you hate both of these, feel free to say so. It takes alot to offend me so dont worry about that =)

Whether you wear the belt or not, I would cut those little belt loops off. They don''t hold a belt in place, and they look dinky in my opinion. (on any dress, not on this one in particular)

I think the material on the first dress is really cool, and I like the cut of the red dress. I think that belt with that dress makes it look kind of dated though, so if you opt for a belt, I would pick a different one. (not like I would care or be snobby about it or even notice if I saw you in it at a party, but it just looks like "last year" with that belt if I think about it.)

I think both dresses are nice.

Okay, so you said we could be honest. I'm voting for door number three.

Not liking the first dress, though it is a little more flattering-- it looks like a flag bled on it to me (sorry).

As for number 2, I'm really not liking that belt it makes the dress look very 80s. Like it better without the belt, but still isn't getting my vote. Would you wear those black shoes with that dress? I like the grosgrain ribbon idea a lot.

Love the silver shoes. What else you got in the closet?

If I hadn''t seen that fabric before, I''d think it was oddly colored, but if it looks like I think it looks based on other dresses I''ve seen, I think it''s probably a lot prettier in real life.

OMG, this is why I love Gypsy so much I want to squeeze her guts out!!

I didn''t really know how to phrase why I didn''t like number 1, but I was going toward a tie-dyed description.

Okay Gwyn, show us some more of your closet, hot stuff.

Red, without that belt, and substitute a black satin sash, tied into a small bow to the side of the waist with a blingy brooch in the center of the sash's bow.

The other one doesn't do good things for your boobs. The red one does.

I''m more leaning towards number 1 as it''s more flattering, and I''m not a big fan towards number 2. If you''re going for it I like it with belt.

i like #2 without the belt

Maybe I''m getting old (and fuddy-duddy-like), but dress #1 looks too short to me to wear to someone''s wedding. Mini-dresses to me are more night-on-the-town party dresses, not formal event dresses. But again, I''m usually out of the fashion loop, so feel free to ignore me on this one.

I also agree with Gypsy that you could probably do better than both of these dresses. Dress #2 is fine, but I see what you mean about the skirt ballooning out. A more a-line skirt could look really nice on you.

Have fun at the wedding, no matter what you end up wearing!

I agree with havernell, with all but the getting old and fuddy-duddy-like

, and Gypsy. I personally wouldn''t wear either dress to a wedding. Do you have anything that''s more of a tea length?

Thritto. I''d wear something no shorter than tea length to a wedding.
