No one?? Oh no....

Iwanna, I don''t speak for everyone I realize, but I wasn''t really sure what the question was? You''ve picked all your music right? (Great choices!) Just didn''t know what you were asking . . .

I am having trouble putting the music in order for pre ceremony, processional, recessional and cocktail hour....

Have you decided what music you''re using for the ceremony? Or is this your plea for help?

Okay, well tell me a little bit about your ceremony. Are you iPodding all of these songs, or are you having musicians for ceremony or reception? Is your preceremony an event, or are you referring to the music playing while the guests are waiting for the ceremony to begin? How do you want your reception to progress? Are you doing slow at first during dinner and then trying to progress to party type music?

This is all on a playlist on my IPOD. Cocktail hour after ceremony. The reception will be a live band.

I don''t know which songs to pick for parents, BMs and my walk or walkout...

I see you have Jesu Joy of Man''s Desiring on your list. I am using that for my wedding party processional. For a recessional, how about something light like Ode to Joy by a string quartet?

I would start by figuring out your ceremony music, and then the rest.

What do you envision for walking down? Are the songs for the ceremony going to played from the Ipod? Or are there musicians? If there are musicians, you can choose from several different genres because they can slow down the music, but if it''s from a recording, I would say to keep it similar, KWIM?

I''m not one to advise since I can''t decide if I''m going traditional or non-traditional for my ceremony music. However, this is the link that I''m using to hear lots of different classical samples to help me choose. (I''m familiar with the biggies, like Ode to Joy, but not as familiar with the others.

Just to give you some input, I don''t think that you can go wrong with traditional ceremony music. The few that you chose are lovely, but I have a couple extra suggestions for you!

From your list: "Jesu, Joy of Man''s Desiring" by Bach is very beautiful....I used it for the Seating of the Grandparents

From your list: "Air on the G String" by Bach is a beautiful choice for a processional. I love it on piano! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP66UH3ymbw)

"Air" by Handel is very romantic....I used it for the Seating of the Mothers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0bHwyK0zfs)

"Allegro Maestoso" by Handel is upbeat and perfect for a prelude or a recessional (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOoiuMYc5Wc)

"Highland Cathedral" is very beautiful! It could very easily be used for a processional because it has an easy beat to walk to (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrNAECO9tHM)

"Trumpet Tune" by Purcell is a fun alternative to the Trumpet Voluntary....I used it in the prelude (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgN7YQyetc0)

"Can''t Help Falling in Love With You" by Elvis Presley is also a great song if you want to go a little bit untraditional! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-H5WZ1q1lZA&feature=related)

A helpful link for you may be www.myweddingmusic.com. They have tons of both traditional and untraditional wedding songs grouped into prelude, processional, recessional, and reception music!

Good luck!

Thanks Laura! That is a really helpful site.

I also have been looking up Wedding Processionals on You Tube. It really helps you visualize how it looks to walk to certain songs.

Thank you Laura, great suggestions and a very helpful site.
