Hey does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with these insects.
We get them bad this time of year.
Are there any tricks to get rid of them?

Thanks

Sevens, we used to have carpenter ants in out old house and the only thing that finally took care of them was calling Terminex. Good luck, they are so annoying, can you hear them munching away??

rayed quarterly inside and out. I spray my mulch with a plant friendly spray from Walmart.

Good luck! I know how annoying bugs can be!

Thanks- I think I''m going to have to break down and call a company too.

Get yourself a large magnifying glass and sit back and enjoy..

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
That page wouldn''t open but I remember those days- my brothers and their magnifying glass.
Or the fire crackers in the glass bottles.

I just found out that I like burning people into little bits.

Boric Acid. But not the boric acid products which also have arsenic in them (unless you want to risk getting rid of people, too).

Search around the net or ask at a good hardware store if you have one. There are a few commercial products.

If it''s more than just a few ants, the danger of damage to wood structures might be signiificant. You wouldn''t want to only kill the ones you can see while the rest are hard at work inside the walls. That might be time to call in the professionals, but again look for the less nasty chemical solutions first.
