OH I am so excited!!!!!! (Can I scream here?!?!) I started to try on some dresses in Dubai 2 weeks ago. I only tried on 3 gowns in one wedding shop by myself (with my fiance wandering outside somewhere), it was nice to wear the gowns but I realized that I didn''t really like trying on dresses "for fun". Maybe it is because my girl friends weren''t with me. It just wasn''t as fun as I imagined it would be. Since I am notorious indecisive, the thought of having try on many different dresses in many different stores (in different countries as well!) really overwhelmed me. So imagine how super-duper happy I was when my fiance found me this shop, famous for designing and making gowns for the (many) ladies-in-leisure in Dubai. (I later on realized that it is the same shop that one of the PSers recommended on my other thread!, so thank you as well!)
I saw the sketch yesterday..... and it was so beautiful. I never have a gown custom made before, so I was completely overjoy when I saw the sketch drawn especially for little ole me! I am going to ask if I can keep the sketch .. I want to frame it!
My designer was super nice .... though the other designer was not as friendly, I thought. In fact, when I walked in the place (quite a posh venue, I think), I wasn''t sure where to go. So this not-too-friendly (or should I say a "cool" designer said .... "what do you want?" (without a hello, naturally), I was completely tongue-tied. I went ... er ... a wedding dress, which he replied "There are NO wedding dresses here, this is COUTURE, this is custom made". By then (thank god), I regain my composure a bit. So I told him, yes I know, but I didn''t bring any pictures with me. So he said ..... sit there, a designer (MY very nice designer!!) will be with you. So I discussed with him what I like and sent him some pictures after I went home.
Yesterday I had my measurements done and chose the fabrics as well. However, I am having 2nd thoughts about the lace that I''ve chosen, so I am going back in 2 weeks to see more laces! (and yes, everything looks pretty much the same after a while
)
Now, the shoes!! I am thinking to have it custom made as well. I don''t see many pictures of wedding shoes with lace. I see a lot of white slingback satin wedding shoes, and that''s about it. Since I am not good at describing things, could you please post some pictuers of wedding shoes with lace here?? Pretty please with sugar on top!
