in front of his or her friends ? if yes...what did you say or do?

Yes. Not telling.

Never in front of his friends. When we first started dating one of his friend''s was dating a girl that completely cursed him out in front of all of the guys. He told me then to please never do that and I haven''t.

But we do have secret codes to let each other know we aren''t happy without letting others know

Yes, in front of his parents. I ordered ice water at a pub.

Yes. Told drunk stories about him while I was rather drunk myself. Whoops! But he''s done that to me too!

Ice water?! Gwen!! Tap water and only at the end of the night!

Yes, the first thing that comes to mind is when I shattered a wine glass at a party. DH said that it looked like I did it on purpose and one of his friends commented. I was just too drunk and accidently dropped it.

Nope, he doesn't really get embarrassed, ever - and doesn't really understand it if/when I do

HE embarrasses ME all the time by blaming our exits on me

whenever we both want to leave a gathering its always "musey is tired/doesn't want to miss LOST/wants to get home to the dog/etc." Not all that embarrassing I suppose, but he really likes to place all leaving responsibility squarely on my shoulders. Grr.

Oh Gwen, that is the ONLY way I can drink water, is with ice in it.

Hehehe, ohhhhhhh yes. I once convinced my DH not only that we absolutely HAD to host an 80s costume party, but he even agreed to let me dress him. He wound up wearing super short spandex shorts with bright yellow (even shorter) shorts over them that said "RELAX!" on his butt, a neon green t-shirt with a purple mesh tank top over that, a terrycloth sweat band on his head, and striped athletic socks with big puffy Reeboks high tops. Not only did he wear this in front of about 60 people, but one of the guys there was friends with one of DH''s co-workers, so he emailed the co-worker a picture of DH from the party, which wound up photocopied and tacked to the bulletin board in the breakroom of my DH''s ULTRA-conservative corporate office! Amazingly enough, even after all this, he STILL agreed to let me host another party a year later and dress him for that one, too--that party''s theme was 80s drag, haha!

Musey, that's funny, because I always tell FI to blame it on me. I don't want his freinds to give him a hard time for being tired, and I could care less, so it's just easier.

I feel like I always embarrass him.. and I am ok with that... he must be too! ;-)

Why is ice water at a pub taboo???

I like to tell stories to his guy friends when he''s drunk and I''m sober. He always gets beet red and flails around. It''s so funny! And it''s never even anything bad, I can say something like, "He is a HUGE cuddler." And he gets all embarrassed lol.

Because we''re in England and that''s just NOT done here! Even alco-pops (wine coolers) are better than asking for ice water *instead* of something with alcohol in it!

D got embarassed when I was telling our friends how he was singing to the dog when he came home after a few drinks-he even had a little song for her while he was tucking her up in the duvet. Think that''s going to come out in the wedding speech!

Can''t recall a single incident.

Nope.

Don''t think so.

I''m either extremely boring, or a tight a$$. I''m sure it isn''t because I''m perfect.

lol, never anything major. He gets upset if he feels that I am talking too loudly or in earshot of someone we are talking about, or if he points someone out and I look at them conspicuously or say "who, her??" too loudly, lol. Hehe. Other than that, he maybe is embarrasses if I talk the ''wrong kind of politics'' with the wrong person, but nothing big... he just sweats the small stuff!

Many times, mostly funny. One time a BIG yes. I said something so snobby and snotty (I was a little drunk) and I worked so hard to set it right after. To be honest, I don''t even remember saying it

. Everyone but one girl is clearly over it, but she hates me and I hate her so its cool, especially now that all our other friends have seen her true colors, so I don''t think what I said was what made her hate me specificly, but it did mortify FI.

This happened with an ex, when I was 18. He had just moved for college and he was in a nice apartment with two new roomates. I called over during the first week with a bottle of red wine trying to help ex-bf get to know his new roomates (he was quite shy).
There was no wine bottle opener, so Porridge the Genius decided I could push the cork down into the bottle with a knife. I swear, I'd seen it done before.
It didn't work. To say the least. The red wine sprayed ALL OVER the nice apartment's crisp white walls, all over the ceiling and all over me, bf, and his two new roomates. I mean the place was destroyed. Who new one little bottle could hold so much wine??
THEN...I was like, it's cool it's cool we'll try to wipe it off. With a damp sponge. Which resulted in a whooooooole lot of paint coming off.
They had to repaint the entire room (I helped of course). I was mortified. HE was mortified!! They're still friends now though. I like to think I helped with the bonding process
