DH asked me if I wanted an iPad mini for Christmas and I said no, I want bling instead for the same amount of money. Not only did he but he also said I don't need more bling. I just replied "That's why I said WANT, not need"

PS. He thought that I would want a mini because it'll fit in my purse. Ummmm.... Yeah...

I do not have an ipad or an iphone or anything apple except my macbook pro (which I love). However, everyone I know who has an ipad loves it. The thing I hate about apple is that you can only use their stuff with their products. Very annoying and not consumer friendly. Except they do make fun stuff. Sigh.

Does anyone have or is anyone planning to get an ipad mini?

I saw my neighbor's mini ipad 2 weeks ago and it's sooooo light! He works for Apple and loves all Apple products of course. He said he used the mini for a day or two and then went to pick up his regular ipad (probably has the 3) and it was like a brick, lol! Between my hubby and I, we have 3 ipads (the original, and 2 ipad 3's) and we love them. I also have a kindle touch though so when I travel I bring my ipad and kindle so I don't know if I need a mini (or would want one because I like the bigger screen). Although having a lighter weight one would be nice.

I loved this video so much I had to come back and watch it again.

It reminds me of the xtranormal video someone made a few years ago when a new iPhon was coming out. I can't find it, but it was hilairous.

DH and I use MacBooks, and we both have iPods, but that's it. I love our MacBooks, though mine is DH's hand-me-down, so I've been considering getting an iPad for a while now. I have $5,600 to spend this school year and next on conferences, travel, materials, etc., and I can use $600 of it for technology. I'm trying to decide between getting an 11" MacBook Air, or an iPad with an external keyboard. After next year I'll have $5,700 to spend, and $700 can be on technology, so maybe I'll get the iPad now and the laptop then.

I have no interest in iPads at all. We just bought the new iPad 4 for my MIL bec she wanted her first i Device. My mom is addicted to her iPad and iPhone to the point where she has 4 arms. Its hilarious. I use an iPhone and Apple computers of varying kinds for my work. But the iPhone I was late to the party with.

While I was waiting for that ipad I bought online for instore pickup to come out, I was playing with the Mini...honestly...I couldn't see the difference side by side. The screen on the mini was really crisp.

I put the iPad 2 and the retina right next to each other and played a movie on both, and could see a difference. But I couldn't tell when just looking at the web or whatever.
