I'm still on vacation, so unfortunately I don't have the time I want to reply to everyone individually, but what a lovely and sweet surprise it was to click on Hangout just for a quick check to see if everyone was okay and see this wonderful thread. Thank you so much Skippy sweetheart for starting it, and to my dear Neatfreak for thinking of me as well. And my thanks to everyone who replied.
I do have to call one person out specifically though.... Storm, you are a smart, smart man.
I am having a really lovely, extremely relaxing day and have had an extremely wonderful vacation. Will be flying home tonight, and miss my dear hubby tons so am also happy to be going home.
Will post more, and some vacation details later. I have to say though... you are NEVER to old to enjoy a day at a waterpark with your oldest friend. And I highly recommend it. We had a blast. Leave the bling at home though. LOL.

My trip was my birthday present from my dear hubby, plus a lovely dinner including yummies like caviar (which I adore), and the DVD of BOLT (I just love Mittens), my parents gave me some money which is largely squirreled away in the "Layla''s Diamond Studs Fund" but I also purchased some gemstones from Dana at Mastergems
I went to Austin to visit my best friend and we went to this huge water park where we had a BLAST, visited a ton of outlet stores, just spent time together, hit a spa for some relaxation and pampering, and also did make it to Houston to visit some friends AND managed to stop in and visit BGD where Brian put me through some tests on color sensitivity (apparently I''m better than I thought) and showed me how the CAD and cast process works. Which was wonderful as a short tutorial so that I can understand what I am going to be in for. Brian and Lesley were as lovely in person as online and were very patient with all my questions and so was their staff. I am sigining up for my first virtual class as soon as I talk to the GIA about a program that is right for what I want to focus on (Design) and then go from there. We had great fun... and of course hit the outlets outside of Houston on our way home!

When I have pictures of my lovely gems from Master gems I will post on the colored stone board. And I also have some pics from my visit to BGD that I will post, probably next week when my Best friend sends them to me (her camera). I have pics of us at the waterpark too... but those are NOT getting shared. LOL.
Overall it was a fantastic trip. And a great present.
