About a year or so ago I had posted that my kitty was diagnosed with feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy at 6 months of age. I was devastated but vowed to give Miyagi a great life full of love and affection. I did not anticipate winding up with a bond that is so strong I often miss him more than DH when we are seperated (shhhh don''t tell DH although I suspect he already knows - hee hee). I took Mi for his annual check up the other day which included a yearly echocardiogram. His results floored me - over the past year his heart muscle has actually gotten stronger with increased chamber volume and no murmmer. I know that overall Mi may still have a short time with us - but for now it was fantastic to hear he has improved.

Thanks for letting me share.

Thank you everyone for sharing my excitement!

We are not really sure what breed he is - but we can tell he has siamese in him. He has the trademark cry of a siamese and very similar coloring. The vet thinks he has Ragdoll in him too given that he is prone to melting in your arms once he is being pet. He''s really picky about who is allowed to touch him - which I think could be both his Siamese as well as the fact that he was found abandoned with his brother (whom my mother adopted). Both he and his brother are very weary of strangers.
