So I am looking for a hand held vacuum....anyone have one they LOVE. Must have a decent charge time.

Love my Dyson handheld, EXCEPT for the charge time. It sucks up everything, but dies in 6 minutes. Yes I kid you not, 6 short minutes. If I could get some kind of extended battery for it, it would be the best handheld ever IMO.

I have had this for a year. I love it so much I just bought a second one to keep upstairs: I don't know if you have long hair but it works amazing picking up those annoying hairs that accumulate on the bathroom floor. Super powerful in the kitchen. With a lot of kids, I find myself using this after almost every meal. My kids even enjoy using it because its so powerful. My 6 year old gets a kick out of using it.

Its bagless and super easy to clean the filter. I confess though I've only done it once so far.

thinking about buying the Dyson.

sap, my MIL has the dyson one. The charge time really holds me back since I love my regular dyson animal. Just feel like it would drive me crazy.

Halo, I LOVE the look of the Kones and was thinking of one. But then I thought it was silly to buy on looks alone. Glad you like yours.

asscher, I think hand helds are underrated. I used to use my dust buster ALL the time before it finally died. I never thought of that one so thanks for your suggestion! How is the charge time? One the link that was their con.

My must-have for a hand-held was a beater bar for cleaning my stairs. I was tired of lugging the regular vacuum up and down them. I have this one, and I really like it. It also is great for getting dog hair off the furniture. You can take the beater bar off if you want to use it on the kitchen floor or something.

kris....hmmmm....I HATE sweeping stairs with a passion. A hand held would make it easier no? What is a beater bar?

Tacori, a beater bar is the brush thingy that spins around under the front wheels of the vacuum cleaner. Most hand-helds and attachments don''t have them. Trust me, it''s a huge help for getting the dog hair out of the carpet on the stairs!!

i have just a standard black and decker cyclonic bagless dust buster. It works great. Mine is on it''s 3rd year of being used daily to vacuum up seed from my parrot. The charge doesn''t hold up as long as it use to, but it stays on the charger 24/7 (which is probably not good for it) and it''s been used every day for 3 years.

we do have some type of Orange black and decker vacuum that we got free from home depot when we bought a power drill. I can leave that think off of the charger for weeks at a time and it does a fairly good job at vacuuming hay out of the carpet from ym guinea pig (but definitely not as good as a regular vacuum). i have no clue what it''s called. I just know it''s BRIGHT orange and uses the same battery as the drill.
